Out of curiosity I bought a decibel meter to do some testing (I don't trust phone app accuracy) so I will post my results here and see what I'm reading. I'm running the Ford Performance exhaust so I know it's going to be loud, but I'm curious to see what it's at. It will be here Friday so I'd...
Unfortunately I haven't. I bought my car after all the 2018 dates were filled. I'm hoping it will open up for us again for 2019.
I've never had any issues driving through Irvine either in sport with the Ford Performance exhaust. They are either pretty cool or have bigger things to worry about...
Since the time of that podcast, the information has been updated by those speaking. According the updated information, the test conducted should be 75% of the vehicles redline measured 20" from the center of the exhaust tip at a 45-degree angle.
It is also only a rev to 3,000 rpm. It's not a WOT test.
Here is a great source of information if you have the time:

I'll take some pictures tonight for you guys comparing the stock seat and wheel material with the new ones, as well as comparing Shiftek to the new stuff. I'll be sure to get good thread pictures as well as I believe silver is a perfect match. I'm VERY picky so nailing this on just the second...
I have no intention of buying one since I'm not a fan of supercharged vehicles. I agree with it being more performance than necessary and I don't like how the added weight in that area affects the dynamics of the car. I think the disconnect is saying manuals don't have any place in a PERFORMANCE...
It sounds like you think I was talking about what you're driving, but I'm actually talking about what sdiver68 drives. It says he has a vert. This is my first time even posting in this thread. My point being that if he's driving something that isn't optimized to cut the lowest time, why care if...
Genuine question here, not a "haha gotcha."
If your sidebar is correct and you own a convertible, don't you think it's strange to argue about the manual application in a performance car? A convertible is slower too.
Here's the funny thing. BC Forged just released a set of wheels that is nearly identical to these at half the cost. They either JUST came up on the site, or I missed them over the last 5 or 6 times I visited the site. Looks like they just solved my problem for me.
Let me jump right into it. I went to the OC Festival of Speed this last weekend and had the opportunity to talk to BBS about the FI-R wheels. I was previously unfamiliar with these, probably because they are currently exclusive to Lamborghini, Audi, BMW, and Porsche. The development of these...
That wing looks very strange, but I'll reserve my judgement for tomorrow. I was also hoping for carbon fiber composite in some more interesting places.
