probably because the PMAS intake is a ripoff of JLT.
Like blatant. There is a JLT authored youtube video showing how ridiculous the similarities are.
net/net, i'd stick with your JLT.
if it is the same guy that I chatted with, he's had quite a few issues with his car and the dealership that he bought it through.
As I understood it, they "detailed " the car and burnt through the paint, botched the splitter install, and the service department took his car for a joyride to the...
congrats on the pickup. You missed stopping at nola motorsports park on your way home...
I've always wanted a 599 GTO, It's just never come to pass ( I have car ADD).
I'm going to guess and say 10 for the turbo kit, another 3K-3500 for the supporting parts. lets round up to 4k , so we're at 14.
add roughly 30 hrs of shop time @ $150/hr... 4500.
i'd guess 18.5 if you had someone do the entire build.
turbo blankets FTW.
Also, I think there is enough room to run bullet filters and ducting to facilitate fresh air draw over engine compartment breathing.
that motor would suck on the street once you drove the car on the track once.
Spinning that high, with that much hp would mean roughly 70 mph in first gear with the factory transmission.
you could also drop 17 lbs with a carbon fiber hood ( using quiklatch pins instead of hinges and gas shocks linky) and a carbon fiber decklid is good for 8-13 lbs depending on if you use quiklatch pins or the OEM hinges, etc.
so if you dropped another 10 lbs with seats, then another 5-8 in the...
it is apparent that youve never had damage done to your vehicle by a ford service contractor.
the claim will be filed with the first drivers insurance.
Get ready to prove without a doubt that the first operator did the damage.
I would never use Ti Rods. Take a look at the differences between some of the new tool steels that are being used Vs. Ti. Ti internals are for race cars that get tear downs regularly.
I'd do the transmission for the big pop upgrade. You'd drop a ton of weight and have the funnest tranny...
I'll be re-using my tech trans ( and swapping in a pump trans to my gt350) when I start the news drivetrain build on my galaxie. ( going 5.2 CPC modular w/ tech trans from a TT Dart Block 306 & 4r70w).
I guess we'll see how she goes. The tremec in the gt350 isnt a high hp/torque trans. If it...
Nice! I got to be friendly with Brian Finch when I lived in Nashville. That dude does a fair amount of stuff that you're talking about.
right after i finished my "finished" galaxie the first time, a lovely young lady of 13 borrowed dad's pickup truck and rearended the galaxie. Since then...
im interested to hear your thoughts after trying it out..
I've got ridetech stuff on my galaxie. Her big ass hustles around an autocross. very happy with the stuff that they put out and their willingness to help home fabricators ( me being one of them) use their brackets, kits, etc...
set up your own financing then.
I walked in with mine already done. Generally, You'll also end up with a better deal if you set your own up. I'm a big proponent of only buying toys that you can pay cash for, but in my cash my cost of cash was much higher if i paid cash, due to some...
mine is solid. i do not have any rattles.
I took the same 30 mile drive, going the exact same speeds on a high humidity, 72 degree day.
I was kind of shocked at the results.
By the tale of my nguage, 34 degrees cooler with scoop. kind of crazy!
what is also VERY interesting is that I bought the Kooks green catted mids so I could install the LTs without having to tune.
I got ZERO CELs / Codes when running 100 octane with this setup. Across about 1000 miles.
The minute I went back to 93. CEL within 50 miles for catalyst...
