Great question OP, I've been thinking this very thing. I'll probably go to the dealer, not that I think they'll be more experienced but because if they get damaged I think they'll be easier to deal with than a tire shop.

Sorry, what is NVH? As far as CARB, I don't think it will be compliant. The stock intake tube has a carbon filter trap on it. Therefore they'd have to do lab testing to receive CARB certification. It costs approx 100k to certify and has to be done for each model year. It seems cost...
