I had the MGP before I sold it... it only can read HS-CAN... so it will not see the IPC Module. Secondly, IDS and FMP will not let you flash the "wrong" firmware to a module. It will only let you flash an update if ford officially made one available for that part number of the module.

That second paragraph that you wrote is perfect... just if there is already a 2 there... don't make it a 4 thinking it is not enabled and you want to enable it again. As a 4 isn't that option/setting for the fake engine sound.

If it is a fake ACM generated one... (ACM) 727-01-01 xxxx xXxx xxxx Change that value at X... it is probably currently an A or 2 (or whatever value). Subtract 2 from it... If it is an A make it a 8, if it is an 2 make it a 0, etc... Fake Engine Sound should go away pending it is a digital...

XML Update File Generator... it generates a file you upload to syncmyride to tell ford that you installed the update. Same as doing a WiFi update check or using FordPass... kind of pointless file.
