Any one of those is fine. Just not directly to the battery. That way the Battery Management System “sees” what is going on. You are over thinking this.

You are certainly deeper into than I am. I just use this because it works and it’s reliable.

I stand corrected but it will have trouble bringing a low battery up. Strictly a maintainer. I’m happy with the CTEK charging strategy. I have no experience with Battery Tender chargers.

I have a disconnect, available from CTEK, installed. You can see where I connected the negative.

No you do not.

Normal mode. Connect the positive to the battery, negative to a body ground that way the battery management system won’t be affected. Then plug it in and forget it. It will default to normal mode when you plug it in. Mine stays on from November to mid April usually.

MXS 5.0 is a CTEK charger. Ford sells the same one only with Ford stickers on it. Got mine using Ford points.

Optima batteries aren’t what they used to be. Hard pass on that one.

That charger is meant for motorcycles, etc. Not adequate for car batteries. Look into a CTEK. MXS 5.0 which is the same as the Ford one.

Great weekend car. Not everyone tracks their car. It is a badass street car and a blast to cruise in. Very well behaved.
