Any one of those is fine. Just not directly to the battery. That way the Battery Management System “sees” what is going on. You are over thinking this.
Chassis ground not battery ground. Yes I know this is an F150 bulletin but it applies here as well.

I stand corrected but it will have trouble bringing a low battery up. Strictly a maintainer. I’m happy with the CTEK charging strategy.
I have no experience with Battery Tender chargers.

Normal mode. Connect the positive to the battery, negative to a body ground that way the battery management system won’t be affected. Then plug it in and forget it. It will default to normal mode when you plug it in.
Mine stays on from November to mid April usually.
