Somewhere on here is a thread containing a summary of everything that was available as of about 6 months after the 2015 came out.
When I was perusing those video clips I remember the Borla Touring sounding low and muffled compared to most options but still quiet enough not to rouse...
If you do not want an I4 Ecoboost then don't buy one but don't you ever suggest that it be detuned because you don't like where it is positioned in the lineup. Detuned and Mustang should never be used in the same sentence! ;)
Oh my gosh, this is too funny. I cannot stand the loud 4 cylinder noise as it reminds me of an industrial pump or gen set. Until an exhaust comes out that is not just to make more noise but actually adjust the 'tone' I will stick with my stock exhaust as well.
The closest I have come to...
If I am cruising at a constant speed on level ground I will shift my manual into 6th at 45 MPH but the engine definitely 'lugs.' Anything below about 50 MPH and trying to accelerate causes lugging in 6th. I believe that is the 'rumble' that is being referred to. I am surprised this is...
Speaking of which, Roy O'Brien Ford in Saint Clair Shores is hosting a Mustang get-together at the K-mart parking lot at 9 Mile and Harper for the Saint Clair Shores Harper Cruise Wed 26-Aug. If you have nothing better to do than spend an evening with a bunch of car nuts that may be something...
Thanks for this input. I was wondering about the 50th with the all seasons in the snow. All my other Mustangs I have had to put on a set of winter tires (and, by the way, those Mustangs were a blast in the snow with good tires) but this one came with the all seasons and the snow mode. I was...
Here we go with all this nonsense again. You are confusing Calendar year with Model Year. The 2000 Focus went on sale in 1999, that does not mean there was a 1999 Focus. The 1997 F150 went on sale in 1996, the 2000 Lincoln went on sale in 1999, and the 1965 Mustang went on sale in 1964...
Vegas is part of the vehicle signoff for test purposes. Many manufacturers are there. If it is over 120 F you will see them trolling through rush hour traffic trying to overheat the vehicles.
Ford considered it but went with the Ecoboost instead. The two directions are diametrically opposed:
1. V8 that reduces to a V4 - (a big engine trying to be smaller) this has the drawback of having the friction levels of the large V8 even in V4 mode.
2. Small Ecoboost V6 - (a small...
Maybe put the top down and stack em up in the back seat? I brought a chest of drawers home with my '97 vert once. I folded the passenger seat forward, powered it all the way forward, put the top down and put the box in the back seat.
Nope, nailed it with the alignment issue...from the driver seat the speedo (er, Ground Speed) pod is angled towards the center line of the car. Move your head to the right and you will see the speed align now with where it is supposed to be. The Fuel Gauge has the same issue!
Please put me down for a tentative pair of gray ones. Just want to see them on the car for size and obscurity. I don't want my car to end up like a NASCAR racer or anything... ;)
You can change your own oil and filter without voiding the warranty. Make sure to use the recommended oil specification. Brand is not as important. The Ecoboost uses 5w-30 with a spec of GF-5 by the way.
For oil filters use something name brand and not the ultra cheap stuff.
You will need...
