Seat height is extremely adjustable. What’s not shown in my original post is the base mount and slider mount I’ll be using. You can get seat mounts that have a lot of height adjustment.
This is the 1st racing seat I’ve ever owned. It’s the RT4200HR. Shipping was extremely fast…2days, and packaging was top notch. Fit and finish is extremely nice. They offer each seat in 3 different sizes. It’s very comfortable and fits like a glove. They also offer various mounting brackets and...
The 3.31’s definitely seem to be working well, the car will go 10.4x with them. I’ll probably try a shorter tire to test before making a gear change at this point.
I think the 3.73 would be a good choice for the 1/8 mile racing.
After running 10.75 a few weeks ago, my son drove the car to a 10.52 at 132mph and a 10.53 at 131mph. We had much better DA today. The CircleD, Shoemaker speed density conversion and new tune seem to be working amazing. Still soft on the launch(3500ish), once we get to 4400rpm the car should run...
The 60’ will definitely improve. Only made 2 passes, 1 at about 3300 and 1 at about 3700. The goal is approximately 4400😀
Headed back to the track on the 14th and 15th. Our 1st passes will be at about 9:30am with better air. Should easily go 10.6’s……then the goal will be 10.5’s
Finally got to make 2 test passes today. DA was around 1750. Car was about 3300lbs today, 3480 with me driving. I went from 3.55 to 3.31 to keep it out of 7th gear, but I’m gonna try 3.73’s and see what happens….i think it can go low 10’6s. This was also the 1st passes with the converter. It’s...
It’s a dedicated track car so we can do a lot of mods most wouldn’t consider. MAF to MAP helps eliminates erratic signals, improve idle and drivability issues etc(The track cars he’s converted seem to love it)..
The shop/tuner I use ordered the TC, I’ll get the specs soon. Hopefully it’s a...
Alright, finally getting the car ready for 2025. Got the diff in the shop swapping the 3.55 to 3.31 also putting in a Auburn-Gear Grip-N-Lock differential. Took the LCA’s out as well to add the BMR Bearing kit. Once the rear-end is back in the car we’ve got a Circle D converter going in. The...
I considered raising rpm, but it feels like we’re not even close to the finish line when it hits 7th. I figured 3.31’s was the safest bet. We’ll find out in April. Hope the weather cooperates for you!
You hit the nail on the head….so many variables! I just dropped the rear-end. I’m switching from 3.55’s to 3.31’s to keep it from going into 7th. Going into 7th kills the ET and mph. It should keep the car at the top of 6th across the stripe.
