Ford in Australia are calling each owner individually and asking them their expectations. Any purchaser with a signed contract and that has not taken delivery is, I understand able to repudiate the contract and walk away from the purchase with no penalty... some customers have cancelled their...
As it is my car is going to Herrod Performance in Melbourne to be upgraded to Handling Package by after sales fitment of the missing parts, minus the wheels that won't pass registration compliance in AUS.
Yeah I get all that, just don't like the pricing of the vehicle without those items and the advice from sales channel in Australia. Next time you buy a mobile phone and find it doesn't have 5g but 3g that was advised to you when you negotiated a sale contract I guess you'll be happy you paid a...
Missing out on Torsen 373 diff and getting a TruTrac 355 (plus missing ACC & rear sensors) adds up to a whole lot more than free servicing and an additional track day... As a local said, confusion between goodwill (servicing and track day) and compensation (for not delivering what was advised...
From memory the VIN number data is done weekly, strange that you got the spam email from Ford and no VIN in VISTA, so something is going on, a case of "hurry up and wait..." (whilst getting frustrated). Since almost all the tracking and info sites now do not work best to ignore it all and wait...
VIN isn't issued by Ford until plant schedules car for production, VIN usually issued about a month from production. Dealer will be the only source of this info, it is in their VISTA system so ring your salesman and hassle him.
Page not responding to AUS VIN numbers, checked mine again just now and it gives a similar error message despite entering a VIN with a 21 model year number, i.e. 1FA6P8E08M558NNNN (at least that is the format for an Aussie Mach 1)
They might have turned off the data tap for this site, time will...
Got an update today from Sales Rep, back to 24-Apr ETA in VISTA so the only thing for certain is that another day is one less day until (eventual) arrival of car!
Can't get window stickers as they are no longer released, can get info from ETIS when it is built as the PTI info denotes the build date after they download all the serial numbers from the car at the end of build. Alternatively you can goto the german language site and get a build date as long...
Window Stickers no longer work for export vehicles so will not generate. You can still use ETIS and get the basic details along with the German language page that details build date and status on shipping. Dealer has best info but even that seems to be changing (i.e. delays)
Did you end up ordering the HP spare parts? FYI, the HP rear sway bar is same size but solid in HP car whilst non-HP cars run a hollow sway bar. Looks good and looks mean.
Looks like everyone is affected by hold ups. My initial delivery was early April (car built on 5-Jan) and is now pushed back to mid May. Dealer advised all Mustangs getting delayed with no specific info on why.
Rumours 1. no trains from Factory to port (doesn't Ford run their own train...
Suggestion is these two cars are Ford Australia vehicles so likely to be used as press cars or demonstrators. Sequential number plates and not visible on the VicRoads database being the give away. One with Recaros one without...
Yeah, nah...
Tracking no longer allows wildcard searches etc so you need a Bill of Lading number (not forthcoming from Ford). Only way I've seen info on Ship is for you dealer to provide it from their VISTA system...
I noticed they have already built 500 Mach 1 in the January so they are really shipping them out the door, all non-Handling Pack cars as they don't build any cars with Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in the winter months as the cars won't run on the rolling road at the end of the production line or up...
