so got the car back. they dropped each side's glass by 1/8" and it is perfect now.
fyi- my new 2019 coupe's door glass rested 2.5 8ths down from the trim when the door was slightly open. My son's was 3.5 8ths. a difference of 1/8". I used a ruler that didn't have 16ths so in reality mine...
right. now i will say i called same dealer, and spoke with parts. the part number is identical except for a leading "6" for the 2017's door glass. that tells me it's not a dimension thing but rather a composition thing perhaps. they wouldn't re-engineer the whole front door between 2017 and...
so the dealer is telling me that the part numbers between my 2019 and my son's 2017 gt coupes are different for the glass so adjustment won't be the same- my son's windows work perfectly with no wind noise. i went through parts.ford.com and used his vin and mine and i found identical parts. i...
sooo, i am the owner of a 2019 gt with a ticking. In my case it could be the direct injection or perhaps the fuel pump. I have 900 miles on it now and have not changed the oil yet and it reads in the hash marks when checked. with that said, i sincerely wonder if some of the engines are coming...
dealer said if they drop it 1/8th inch, i may get wind noise. my son's 2017 doesn't have wind noise to me. So make it like his and I should be happy.
we shall see what they say.
So I did some measuring my sons windows drop down 3.5 8ths of an inch whereas mine drops down only 2.5 8ths of an inch. Also, when his door is closed all the way u can still see part of the curve in the corner of the glass . Mine you cannot. So I think my glass needs to just be lower 1 8th...
i see there are a few other threads on here for the very same issue on 2016's. 15's etc... so it's not just a 2019 issue it seems. fixes can be replacing al the window stuff, or adjusting height of glass in door BUT you must then replace the weather stripping to avoid leaks.... from what i...
i will take another look at it tonight. the guy at dealer did say they can adjust but then i would have a road noise issue if they dropped it down a hair to clear the weather stripping on opening. i don't know. i wouldn't think the 2017 and 2019 would differ there but i amy be wrong- will...
I have a 2019 gt pp1 and when i open the drivers side door with the window up, there is a little stutter in the door/window when doing so. I told the dealer and they showed me that the passenger side does it too. they said the window is basically causing it by hanging on the rubber stripping...
and i got an automatic/10spd because to me, the new stang has more than enough power to tunr an auto and it harkens back to the early 1970's muscle cars. how many early 1970s muscle cars were stick? not too many.. they were sold as family sedans....
my :"fun/sporty" car has always been something like a hyundai accent 5spd. I had tons of fun with that kind of car, all for 10k new. but as i get older, i am like, you know, why the hell not get a big v8 that reminds me of my younger days when i was a passenger in my parents old dodge coronet...
