Nice choice!
I daily winter mine in Calgary,AB weather. Good amounts of snow.
Run a set of studded Hakkapeliitta....but I think any non-studded winter is great too.
Surprisingly, these vehicles do fairly well in the winter with a calm right foot.
Bumping an old thread.
Had a strong smell of burning oil (almost like an old diesel) that was very prevalent when coming to a stop and during idle. Once I got to work, I got out and saw smoke coming out near the passenger headlight.
Valve cover bolts were loose on passenger side.
Removed the...
Just got a set of Indy 500's put on mine too.

Simply an awesome tire for NA levels.
Much more confidence in the corner. I haven't pushed it too hard, but all my corners and cloverleaf sections on the route to work, I now take a good 20-30km/hr faster and it...

Probably the best tuck I've seen for an S550
Try both out in other cars if you can.
I've tried both the mgw x spec and Barton flat stick.
Was leaning one way until I tried them out and picked the feel that I liked the most.
No matter what people tell you, it's always best to try out both and see the pros/cons if you can.
For putting around in traffic, I always had the jerky feeling between 1-2 shift. Could not feel the engagement point.
Once I pulled out that clutch assist spring, I could now feel it and the problem was corrected.
For putting around, ride out the clutch a little longer.
In your dash...
If it's any consolation, Western Motorsports praised the M600 wheels and were very helpful in my purchase and pickup process. Fast shipment from MRR to their shop too!
I noticed a big difference going from my axle back to adding an H-Pipe and can see how some people wouldn't like it.
With you going for the Magnaflow Tru-X, it will cut out a lot of that noise that you don't like. I have heard a friend's car @Martinnfb that went with the Tru-X and it's got a...
100 percent agreed.
It comes down to how you want your power delivery. In the pic I attached, you are going to feel a power surge at those defining areas along the rpm range.
If you like how the power is delivered but want a lot more, go pd blower.
If you love a rubber band type feel, go...
This has always intrigued me as well. I do like how it changes at redline, but when you set your gauges to be red, it doesn't change at all.
I did some searching and found this info:
Line 21 of the 2018-2019 TAB...
I started with:
- going as low as it could go
- move it far enough back that my left foot is at a comfortable position when the clutch is fully depressed.
Then over time, I went from a straight vertical seating position and moved the seatback further reclined until I found a position that...
Custom H Pipe
Magnaflow Comp Axle Backs
With those two things, I get lots of compliments on how deep it sounds. Can get a drone at under 2000rpm in 6th at heavy load. If I wasn't manual, I'd hate the exhaust setup.
Will be going with an MBRP 1 7/8 Off Road Header sometime this or next year.
I have a premium PP w recaros, so I'll chime in.
The downsides:
PP wheels - heavy. Only 9.5" wide in the back. I went to a 10 and 11.5 staggered setup.
Gauges - It's vacuum and oil pressure/temp. Once you go to a boosted setup, the vac gauge isn't going to show boost psi...and the ford...
