Something similar happened to me with the DSP that I ordered off Ebay. The one pictured was a 'CP' but the one delivered was a 'BL.' To the seller's credit, once I explained to him the difference between the two, he shipped the proper DSP immediately and told me to just keep the wrong one.
It's...
I decided to tackle a large part of this project this past weekend. I've got the sub all mounted and ready to go, but have yet to receive the first or second wiring assembly so the sub is all show and no go for now. All of the bolt holes were aligned in my car's trunk, so it was an easy affair...
I saw some photos that show that in pre 2018s, there isn't a connector in the trunk. The wire for the sub is part of a bundle that comes from the front of the car all the way to the back and is then split off and wired to the connector. So if you want the wiring harness, the salvage yard has no...
That's an excellent deal and similar to what I've been lucky to achieve thus far. Confirm that you have the proper connector in your trunk, with active exhaust you most likely do, then see if you have the proper wiring assembly to connect that trunk connector to the bottom of the subwoofer amp...
It's impressive that they shipped it out overnight. When I saw the prices on Ebay for the subwoofers I nearly went the same route as you. However, I was lucky enough to find a salvage yard that had a sub in good condition. I was able to get the subwoofer enclosure with attached amp, mounting...
I saw that you asked about the SP and the B&O speakers in some other threads, I'm monitoring those as well.
The front center channel speaker is the only one I have plans to upgrade at this time. I was able to score a Polk DB 351 from another forum member just recently and it seems like...
That's good to hear. It's just a little something that would be nice to have to 'finish' this off and make it as 'factory' as possible. Now I just have to find the actual plaque...
On my 2018 with PP1, the brakes have been sensitive as hell from day one. You barely touch the pedal and the braking is strong and noticeable. I'd take it back to the dealer and let them check out the entire braking system; something isn't right.
Any updates on this? I'm in Florida as well and I've been thinking about trying to use a virtual mailbox service to circumvent this Florida nonsense so I can purchase an extended warranty from Flood Ford.
Just got an update email from the Ford Parts Team in regards to my JR3Z-14A411-C order:
"Thank you very much for your inquiry on Ford Parts. It looks like there has been some movement with the parts based on customers who've already placed orders with their dealerships. We show some parts are...
The one parts guy that had a partial clue and would actually allow me to talk without interruption said, "I'm showing zeros across the board nationwide, absolutely no availability at all." Having placed my order via parts.ford.com yesterday afternoon, today my order status is listed as "Back...
I called a couple more parts departments fairly local to me and each one was more rude and clueless than the last. I appreciate the suggestion of contacting Lakeland, but I got tired of the idiocy, broke down and just ordered from parts.ford.com. For the extra $10 or so I paid, at least they'll...
