It will not retain the current RPM, but only let it rev to a certain limit while you stay on full throttle.
In reality, it's more of gimmick. As @Mazman is saying, it's useful when doing a drag, but on the road you might never actually use it
Didn't some articles claimed recently that the lower grille on the final models comes in gloss black to better match the upper grille? On your pics it looks like that is not the case
I think the look is fine even though it is a bit too much paired with the hood vents. And why is it not painted colormatching the car? But I am much more worried about the pratical consequences. All the dirt and water will directly drop into your engine bay through the huge opening, the little...
If it works like in the Camaro: You can just let your right foot on full throttle while using the clutch. It will limit the maximum RPM the engine will go to while shifting. It's a nice thing to improve accleration times, but it feels really weird at first.
I never realized that they color matched the orange FJG accents to the reflector in the headlights. This is the first time I really think the reflectors look nice. Nice details
Wait until you find out about the '95 Ford Galaxy / VW Sharan 🙄
It's absolutely common practice in the industry to share platforms or technology that can't be financed by one carmaker alone.
Absolutely agree. Especially the price is concerning me too. When the Mustang launched for 39k€ here in 2015 it was a hell of a deal. Now you can pay up to nearly 70k€ for an equiped Mach 1 - For pretty much an heavy updated version of the same car. I think now are people still buying it for...
I think a 6 cyl hybrid could still be attractive in europe if the relation between great sound, good performance and reasonable prices is still attractive. Especially with a lot of sportscars not even releasing in Europe anymore (400Z, BRZ) and other carmakers going full ev (there definitely...
Since the Mach-E I am not really sure that Ford would actually go for the car the fans want, but search for the next market spot they can slap another Mustang badge on. A 4 door Mustang hybrid for europe without V8 sounds exactly like something a modern carmaker manager would fall in love with
The C8 also has this brake setup, even though the base V8 model has RWD and no hybrid. It just means the platform can support AWD which is pretty obviously since we will get hybrid model, but not that the V8 model must have an hybrid
Ford Europe goes full hybrid by 2026, not 2023. But I agree that if these engine are correctly I doubt we will get the V8 here, since offering an Ecoboost and a V6 Hybrid would easily comply with european emission laws
We got the way worse mexican produced Pzero variant here on 15 to 17 models (US got the P951 production code, we had V480/V481), we have all rights to get good tires 😁
I am wondering why the export models are transported uncovered?
@ white taillight topic: It's not mandated by EU, it's just...
They are also honoring the past with their 25 year old mercedes platform that faily miserably when it comes to corners. I don't care about visual retro stuff. They finally made a track focussed model that they can sell internationally and should even be at least on par with the praised GT350...
Yeah the difference between Viper ACR and base C8 Z51 absolutely does not come from 150+ hp, semi slicks and all the track aligned components 🤷♂️
On Lightning Lap even the C7 Z06 was on par with the Viper ACR.
I totally agree. If they go electric, they have to come up with their own electric sounds that sounds as exiting as an engine - Even thought it will always be different to know it's just a virtual sound. Just play recorded V8 sounds will always be horrible.
The Audi TT I had did have "engine...
Ford currently invests 1 billion dollar into the plant in Cologne, to make it an engineering centrum for upcoming EVs. While the US press release does not feature details about Fords EV plans, the press release in other languages does. The german one translates includes the following statement...
Yeah the quality of the added cars really lack. On the C8 there a similiar big flaws like a bugged dash and they forgot to make the stripes on the C8 into a separate layer (at least that works on the GT500)
