Auto or Manual? NA? Boost?
I run, rear 26" MT 275/40-17 radial
and front 185/50-18 mh racemaster in front. Wheels I run the vms 17x10 and 18x5.
I personally like the short tire since you get a little more gear out of the car and it's lighter. The only issue is on stock tune your shifting into...
Like kfxd said, hptuners or pcmtec.
I prefer pcmtec (reminds me of efilive) but someone new might have issues since they dont have definitions for the tables. Would be nice if this forum had a tuning section for the self tuners.
Whatever you decide I definitely recommend datalogging a stock...
I get alot of thumbs ups and questions asked about my Mach 1. Funny thing is my wife hates driving it now because of that. She said everytime she gets gas or parks someone comes up to her asking about it. She should be use to it by now, she has driven some badass car/trucks over the years. 06...
The only reason I am in a Mustang again was because dealer was playing games. Was going to go bare bones lt1 a10, they tried the bs that they were only alloted 3! They wanted as much for an lt1 as i paid for the Mach 1. They did the same thing we went to get a new Denali xl. They wanted 10k over...
I have vms blackhawk wheels
18x4 185/50-18 (26") MH racemaster
17x10 275/40-17 (26") MT s/s drag radial
I drive to and from track on them no problems.
With those and rear seats out my bone stock 21 A10 non hp mach 1 went 11.60@119 1.84 60'
Prolly about the same, it was a cheap edelbrock stepped header on sale because it was scratched so I gave it a try. It was nice that it gave me a lil extra room in that tight engine bay.
I can see road racing where it would be a negative. What style header do you find works best for that?
The stepped headers picked up power above 5k. How often in drag racing are you under 5k? The smallest headers in that test also was the shocker.
My stock heads intake ls1 went faster with just a change from 1-3/4 to stepped 1-3/4 to 1-7/8.
2021 Mach 1 a10 non hp
Stock besides wheels rear seats were out.
Vms blackhawk
18x4 26" MH racemaster
17x10 26" MT drag radial
11.60 at 119
Slowest run straight off highway was 11.72
Looks like the course motorsports mount. I have course mounts in my Expedition and Mustang. Easy to install (my 12 year old installed both)and works great.
I picked wrong pid setup so it's all basic info. I wasn't to worried since it stock but I like to have all ducks in a row when I do tune it. Anyways, mph is off cause short radials that I didn't even bother adjusting. Other then this what my mach 1 factory tune datalog looks like with 93.
Thanks!
I was 2 footing to about 1500, I was in drag mode, shifter in S. Letting the car shift itself.
From my datalogs, it's short shifting into 7th and falling on its face. Once I tune it to stay in 6th thru traps I think it will pick up big.
If it was a stick car i would agree but launching auto and stick is just different. Stick car has an unlimited tc under your left foot plus you hit tires much harder.
I think if he runs more air in radial, gets slack out of driveline then just punches it his 60' will go down. Imo he is bogging...
