  1. Speedo Needle as shift light?

I've never noticed this. Perhaps a stock auto not being shifted manually doesn't reach an rpm high enough to trigger it? (Or perhaps I've never really gotten on it at night...)
  2. 2015 Ecoboost comp. to 1963 Ford 427

One of the best street brawlers ever in my opinion is a datsun z with a smallblock and a turbo 350 trans in it. Put a set of 8.5" slicks on stock wheels and you can leave them stupid, wondering what happened. I've skint many an ass with that setup. It's a quick way to slap the shit right out...
  3. 2015 Ecoboost comp. to 1963 Ford 427

I don't think the early 60's FE motors were generally all that powerful. Comparing it to one like a 428 cobra jet or a 427 sohc motor would probably yield a different result. None of this changes what you're saying, though. Your point still stands-the progress has been incredible.
  4. 2015 - 2018 Mustang GT Forged Shortblocks - 1 year warranty, Build your own online>>

I guarantee you it can, with good components. People rev much bigger motors higher than that. For example, the air shifter in my dart is set for 8400 rpm. The motor was a steel rod 4.5" stroke 572 big block mopar. I say "was" because, ironically enough, it blew up. Previous owner screwed up...
  5. New best with the Lund flex fuel tune.

Is there such a thing as an octane sensor, or is that also a calculation based on other things?
  6. DP install: Doable on ramps?

Yes, it should be doable on ramps. I used jackstands that didn't get it terribly high up, but it was still easy.
  7. Stumble before engine is up to temp

I can't imagine a scenario in which an engine would be made to stumble for self protection. My guess is you guys have some of the many cars that left the factory with plugs gapped too wide.
  8. PMAS Intake Systems from UPR Products. TUNE AND NO TUNE INTAKES

I'd say another way to compare is whether you can tell a 20 hp gain on a 435 hp engine. That's a 4.6% gain. Actually, it's higher than that because a stock car doesn't make 435 hp at the wheels, it makes that at the crankshaft, and the 20 hp gain is supposed to be at the wheels. My guess is...
  9. Best way to quiet exhaust down

Turbochargers. They're proven to help muffle the exhaust.
  10. If I go FI and don't upgrade the OPG and timing gear...

Install them yourself, from what I see it's within the capability of the average person.
  11. Mustang GT Top Speed?

    You got that right!
  12. Loud moaning noise...

Maybe the noise was some sort of pressure relief farting and letting excessive fuel tank pressure off?
  13. Gt500 mufflers on 2015 *pics and vid*

Do these mufflers flow better than the stock ones on our cars? I'd expect them to, but I've been surprised by that sort of thing before.
  14. Team Beefcake Racing & Customers doing work at NMRA Ohio! New Best - 9.08

That ain't crap, my old civic would beat that. Just kidding, awesome runs! That 2015 is what my 2016 would like to be when it grows up.
  15. Lund and Automatic

Same question here, stock shifts are way too soft at all throttle positions. At WOT I want a firm snappy shift, and at part throttle I want a quick shift. Not the slip and slide powerglide bs the car does with factory programming. The description I gave Torrie when I had my ecoboost was that...
  16. Mustang GT Top Speed?

Yeah, but drag and rolling resistance are rather important parts of this nutritious breakfast. Excluding those from the scenario is like saying that I could jump over the empire state building if only you ignore gravity.
  17. Royal Purple API 5w30

There was at least a small rash of them plugging piston oil squirters up with filter material in dodge pickups with the cummins diesel, years ago. I don't know how widespread of a problem it really was since stuff tends to get amplified on forums, but it was enough to get me to steer clear of...
  18. Car seems slower after MBRP Cat Back?

His responses are short, I noticed that too. But, I figured out that he's not that way out of rudeness, but rather that he's that busy. His response time is amazingly quick, and I'm guessing that being a man of few words is partly how he does it.
