You're not the only one in this situation. I've not driven Ms for nearly as long but I do enjoy that kind of car. These GT350s are very tempting. If they were only more accessible and easier to get. Really don't want to stand around for a year waiting on one.

I think you guys are overestimating the C7 capabilities. It's going to be slower in every performance measure vs the gt350. Less motor, less brakes, less suspension. And it won't be able to do it as easily either. As good as the c7 is, it still has vague steering that doesn't self-center well...
Wouldn't surprise me at all. BMW was able to hit 414hp with just 4.0L on a basic PI cross-plane V8 (and 290ft-lbs of torque stock, which is a lot for such a little motor). I'd expect Ford to be able to do more with FPC, especially 8 years later.
From what I've seen, the GT350R is making a lot more than 530hp. My M3 makes around 650hp but at 4klbs due to the convertible top and I don't have the traction issues that they seem to in a straight-line. I also have comparable rubber in the back.
M cars don't NEED it either. I run 0W40 Mobil1 and so do many others. The Castrol 10W60 takes too long to warm up and has been shown in correlation with accelerated bearing wear.
Yup. It 'wants' you to push it. Power just keeps climbing and doesn't stop until redline. It's a very different experience and one that's very hard to describe to someone who hasn't ever experienced it.
And I wish people would stop comparing the Boss 302 to this car. It made maybe 25hp...

Those are just idiots that pull all the cats and resonators. Trust me, we dont' like them either. :lol: Nearly any cat-less exhaust with a minimal set of resonators is going to sound pretty badass, especially when you get over 5k rpm :)
The Coyote and the Boss motor are definitely slouches when it comes to revving. Way before you ever get to those redlines, the power is falling off. On NA cars meant to rev high, the torque just keeps building and building all the way there. There's no midrange falloff, that's just when things...
Get back to me when you've actually driven a high revving V8 before. 4000 rpm? LOL. You'll be shifting there while babying it. Semi-aggressive throttle? try 5-6k easy. The thing about high revving motors is they want you to rev them; so its quite difficult to maintain the control necessary...
You are really looking into the wrong car. I'm going to guess you've never driven a car that holds its torque flat for over 5000rpms. High revving cars are an absolute blast on the street. Especially high revving V8s.
