I could be the only one on the forum who has personally completed this FSA . Ford gives their techs 1 hour labor to do this. I really really took my time and it took me 2 1/2 hours. After doing one I can see where it could done in 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Your experience is not a good one for sure.
I would have thought that Ford would have made up a kit to complete this FSA with everything that is needed to do the job. But no the dealership is given a list of part numbers for hardware needed plus they order a complete shifter assembly. Here is the shifter that went into my car. Hopefully...
I believe 2019 was the first year that the rubberized coating was installed on the engine block plate to prevent the rattling sound. My 2019 has the updated block plate.
I find it interesting that for a reverse lockout problem Ford is changing the complete shifter. There is no problem with that Brooklyn bridge structure that mounts to the transmission. The reverse lockout is easily changed or if they wanted to go the extra mile they could just change the center...
I have a 2019 and looked at the plate months ago and thought I did not have the coated one. This latest thread reminded me to go out and dynomat my plate. But on further review it looks like I do have the updated coated plate. After looking at it carefully it looks like the coating is on the...
I just talked to my brother in law who has been a Ford service tech for 35 years. He said a field service action is the same thing as a recall. My bad sorry.
This is a field service action and not a recall. Unless you are drinking buddies with someone in the service department you won't get a replacement shifter unless there is a problem with your shifter. I am sure there will be people that get a shifter with no problem with the old shifter but that...
I bought mine from CJ Pony Parts who had the best pricing at the time. For a true monoblock (not spun forged) wheel they are a bargain. Way cheaper than any of the wheels GT30fan mentioned. You will have to purchase smaller diameter lug nuts.
The brushed aluminum was the first to come out. The smoked came out at a later date. The brushed aluminum was exactly what I was looking for and I love them.
Those pics in the thread I posted are real cars and wheels. Google search "Shelby CS21 wheels and select images. Lots of wheels on cars. I could send you some but they are brushed aluminum and not smoked.
