Some dealers here in Dallas advertise new Mustang Ecoboost under $20k. To me at that price it would be hard to go used V6.
However, one big advantage with the V6 is that if the engine blows, it is literally less than $1000 for a low mileage junkyard motor.

Couple of things to add. If I got a job downtown I would be using the DART light rail trains to get there. That way I wouldn't have to be parking my car downtown or messing with all that traffic. I live about a mile away from the Rowlett train station and could easily walk,ride a bike, or drive...
You seem to be wanting to do this for handling reasons so I highly suggest you get rid of those boat anchors (33lbs) and go aftermarket. I use the 20 lbs. 19x9.5 Black Advanti DST HY Hybris w/ 285/35/19 square.
Not to derail topic but have you run into a LEO in Texas that said something about the front plate? All the neighboring states don't have front plates and I haven't ran one on my Mustang for years. Fudge, I am so getting a ticket for this tonight!!
After seeing umarov's video I can wholeheartedly agree that this is way too dangerous for an untrained new driver. I hope Get Fast figures this out before someone gets hurt.
I've been instructing for almost 20 years and I've never witnessed someone wreck this bad on their first weekend. Usually self preservation and a stern instructor will intervene well before anything like this happens.
