  1. High knock and i cant figure it out.

How did you get Ford's Knock into Torque Pro? As far as I know, you have to add it as a custom PID. If you are using PID 2203ec with equation: Signed(A)/2+(B/512), then negative numbers show timing advance (good) and positive numbers show knock retard (bad).
  2. Tuned in Texas, should I up the boost a little?

I'm also in Colorado, but I have a Whipple. From what I hear, the 3.75" pulley is supposed to get around 12 psi at sea level. I originally bought a 3.625" pulley and was only getting 9psi. At this altitude it ended up taking a 3.25" pulley to get 12 psi. That's 4 sizes smaller than the...
  3. CEL after oil change and gas

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say. 7mV isn't going to do anything. There was probably some tiny residual charge on the line or maybe that's just the accuracy of the meter. When I took the measurement, the negative cable was grounded to the chassis through one of the bolts on the...
  4. CEL after oil change and gas

These are some good questions. A good multimeter should never "create a ground" unless you are measuring current. When you measure current, the multimeter is in series with the connection and provides a low resistance path for the current to be measured. Basically, a multimeter acts as a wire...
  5. CEL after oil change and gas

Lol, ok so you didn't actually measure it with a fluke, you're just making stuff up. I'll post a picture later tonight when I get home.
  6. CEL after oil change and gas

Defying physics or taking a picture? It would be nice if you would stay on this (derailed) topic instead of posting petty replies because I would really like to see you show this incredible discovery before the thread gets locked. Apologies to the OP, but I really hate confidently posted...
  7. CEL after oil change and gas

I would love to see a picture including the meter, probe connections, and the battery in one pic. You know that the first step in nearly every service manual process for any car says to disconnect the negative battery cable right? I guess the whole world is wrong and you are the only one who...
  8. CEL after oil change and gas

You're hopeless... everyone is telling you that you're wrong, but somehow you still think you know better. If the battery isn't connected to the same ground as the chassis, then nothing is "grounded". The chassis metal is floating at that point and will not provide a path for current to flow...
  9. CEL after oil change and gas

Yes, I am telling you exactly that. When you jump a car, you can connect to chassis ground. The negative battery cable is still connected, so chassis ground is still a connection to the negative terminal of the battery through the battery cable. You connect to chassis negative and that is...
  10. CEL after oil change and gas

You apparently don't know how a battery works. All a battery does is maintain a voltage between two terminals. If the negative battery cable is disconnected, then metal in the chassis is no longer at "ground". Metal doesn't magically mean ground. It only becomes ground when the battery...
  11. CEL after oil change and gas

If there is no cable touching the battery, no power will flow period. The circuit has to be completed going back to the battery. If the battery only has one terminal connected, it will not provide power no matter which one is disconnected. I think the rules are really about creating sparks...
  12. Installed a Tremec Magnum XL in my S550

Yes, I don't use the Bowler harness. Reverse light wires right in and for the VSS you can tie into the OEM harness, but just don't use the power wire. Signal and ground only, and then change the VSS counts/rev in the tune.
  13. Anyone have access to CarFax or AutoCheck?

I think I have one or two left on my account that I don't need. Shoot me a VIN
  14. Whipple belt chirp

How are you checking parts stores if you don't have part numbers? The Whipple kit comes with its own pulleys, they aren't the same as the Ford oem pulleys. The oem Mustang pulleys are plastic.
  15. Whipple belt chirp

@Trent W Did Whipple give you a part number or can you see it on the pulleys? I have a 2.9, so my kit might be different, but my kit uses Gates 36101 and 36326. Also O'Reilly had my idlers in stock locally...
  16. Tremec install issues

Looks like you have the bowler harness. Proper installation there should make the reverse light work. The reverse light wires from the oem harness can also be wired directly to the transmission's reverse connector. Polarity of the wires doesn't matter, it is a very simple circuit. You...
  17. Mechanical VS electronic boost guage

Replying to you since it says you are in Colorado. If you live at high altitude, don't get electronic unless it has a function to adjust the zero point. I have an electronic sensor that is always off by 2-3psi because it doesn't take altitude into account. A mechanical will be correct at high...
  18. True Flex Fuel Tune

If you have an account, you can still get it here: https://www.pcmtec.com/downloads The downloads link for US accounts appears to be going to this link instead with 3.10 https://www.pcmtec.com/pro-tuner I think we're all basically screwed though since it appears you have to login at least once...
  19. Installed a Tremec Magnum XL in my S550

Yeah, it's a simple toggle. ECM 22520 in HPTuners.
