I have a MP Concepts bumper for a '19 GT (non PP) and wondering how well it fits and looks straight out of the box? Not having to spend the time fitting it prior to paint would be great, but willing to do so if there are issues that need to be taken care of beyond normal prep work.
Forgot to mention one thing. We broke a couple of the clips that hold the ABS line to the front strut. I was able to make retainers using zip ties and rubber vacuum line caps, but not the ideal solution. Are these clips available anywhere or will fixing this require buying and installing new lines?
I used the Ford Performance Spec on the last page of the installation guide: Front -1.55, 0.00 toe, Rear -1.98, 0.23 toe. They could only get to -1.5 on the front and had to round off to -2.00 on the rear. Not sure about the best way to get more in the front.
We installed the FP Track Handling Package over the weekend and got an alignment yesterday (-1.5 front, -2.0 rear). Very nice handling upgrade and the drop looks good. Thought, there's a little more gap in the rear than in the front. Moving to a 305 35 20 would make it look perfect. That size...
My wife and I gave my son a FP Track Handling Pack for Christmas. He and I installed it on his '19 GT over the next two days. Your write up (brmyind5) was a big help, thank you! We would have missed orienting the notch on the f strut hats had I not seen this thread--we must have stared at the...
Last time I went new car shopping, I really wanted to love the Mustang. Big fan of the looks and engine note, nice interior layout, decent trunk space. However, I ended up buying a very gently used ‘18 ZL1 for just a little more than a GT PP2. The Camaro is just more solid feeling and capable...
I have the same wheels with Continental ECS 285 30 20 and 305 30 20. They look great. I just bought a Ford Performance track handling kit with 1” lowering springs but haven’t installed it yet because I’m worried that 1” drop is too much with those wheels and I’ll get rubbing or other issues. Did...
I bought my son a FP Track Handling Pack for Christmas and am now wondering where I can get it installed. I tried a couple dealers, but they won't do it. I'm pretty handy and have a lift at home, but not confident I can replace the bushing in the rear knuckle with the bearing that comes with the...
I ordered 20" 6GR 10 spoke (10 & 11) in satin black, and Continental ECS in 285 30 20 and 305 30 20. The spokes on the 6GR look a thinner and lack the shelf detail on the edges, and the hub is webbed rather than rounded, but still a very attractive to me. I would have liked to have a Ford wheel...
Ya, I just bailed on the PP2 replica plan. No sense waiting until who knows when for the 9.5s to come in and by the time they do, the supply of 11.0s will probably have dried up...too bad, but plenty of other good/better options out there for around the same money. May order Project 6GR Tens in...
Thank you. It's my boy's car and he prefers a staggered look. I'm hoping .4" isn't too much. Can anyone point me to a photo of a car with this set-up, or with a similar rake. If it is too much, my options are limited with PSSS. Could switch to 295 35 in the rear which would reduce the rake very...
So I plan to go with 9.5" 275 35 19 in the front; and 11.0" 305 35 19 in the rear. I found some Michelin Pilot Sport Super Sport tires in those sizes so I think I may pull the trigger. Will this set-up work on my 19' GT (non-PP) without issue?
Yeah, that makes sense. There may be other differences as well...fluids, etc., who knows. It's too bad because the transmission is really very good in my ZL1, and in others I've driven.
The 10L80 in my ‘18 ZL1 is a lot smoother, and smarter as compared to the one in my son’s ‘19 GT...the difference is most noticeable in sport mode, almost like two different transmissions. It’s not bad by any means, just not as good as the gm version. I test drove another ‘19 GT, and passed on...
