Ford's already breaking the sequence by interspersing LE VINs (550XXXX)with all other VINS (53XXXXX), why is it so implausible for them to slap the 1,964 badge/VIN on any of the LEs they build regardless of numerical order?
I agreed to $10k over. My dealer called me yesterday and said he turned away a guy from France willing to pay "anything" for the LE, and another guy offering $20k over because I had left a deposit on the car and they considered it sold.
My comment was a failed attempt at humor. Sorry for ruffling any feathers or causing any confusion. I think Mriley (& others) has the scenario correct. VIN #5300001 was auctioned for$300k at Barret Jackson. The F-35 edition was auctioned at EAA Airventure this past weekend (results still...
so does that mean that of the 1,965 LEs (including the convertible) that there are really 2 one-of a kinds and 1,963 others? doesn't that make my LE one of 1,963?
At $20/ticket and more than 65k tickets sold so far, that 1/1 LE convertible has already raised more than $1.3mm for MS research. and still the odds of winning that car are better than winning the lottery...
Owner's manual says you have to use premium fuel to tow:
2.3L EcoBoost and 5.0L V8 Engines
We recommend regular unleaded gasoline
with a pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87.
Some stations offer fuels posted as regular
with an octane rating below 87, particularly
in high altitude areas. We do not...
This is AWESOME! I don't know why, but this made my day. Now I don't have to hang the sunglass bag from the turn signal anymore... Plus it's always nice to learn something new about a car you think you know backwards and forwards despite never sitting in or driving it...

I didn't even think about the remote start functionality. That actually makes me feel better about switching to an auto. I get bored sitting in a car waiting for two minutes after i start it and i feel guilty driving a car without letting it warm up first. i have remote start on all of my other...
It's not going to be a DD, so I wouldn't mind it as much, but because it's an LE, I didn't want to go adding aftermarket parts, specifically a new clutch.
I figured the exclusivity of the auto+PP for the LE and the paddle shifters would help alleviate some of the sadness I felt telling the...
The 2014 was new inventory at the dealer. I don't know howmany miles were on it, but I'm assuming it was probably less than 100. can a clutch get 'tired' that quickly? Granted it is probably getting abused on test drives if the way I drove it was typical of the average tester
I ordered a Limited Edition S550 on 5/20 after seeing it at the NYIAS in April. I ordered a WW with a 6sp. Deposit left: Done.
Then I was reading further and realized that the GT automatic is not eligible for the PP. The only way you can get a 2015 with auto + PP is on the LE.
Then I drove...
The dealer entered my order for an LE on 5/20. No VIN, not in cotus yet... If I got this car sometime in October, I'd be happy.
It looks like the majortiy of voters have a level head and aren't expecting the car before October. My delaer also told me that it's poissible that cars don't come...
