Ran with Proformance for twilight lapping. Was thinking about doing either the 8/4 or 8/11 T2 days at the Ridge. How does the Schroth Quickfit mount?

For some context, I've been tracking cars for about 10 years. In that time I've tracked an E46 M3, a Porsche Cayman S, E36 M3, E90 M3, and a Boss 302, all in various states of tune and modification. After driving the 350R on track, all I can say is WOW! This is one of the best track experiences...

One thing I would have liked to have seen on the R is a light weight flywheel, like how Porsche differentiated the 997.1 GT3 vs the GT3RS. Love the voodoo, but this thing does not blip well from down low on the tach.

What wheels are you running those with?

Congratulations! The painted wheels look great. I am another long time BMW owner who has tracked many different M3's over the years. While I still love my E36 M3, the GT350 gets right what BMW is getting wrong today. I actually love to see both cars in the garage, the best of both worlds...

Got a notice today that mine are shipping. I'm happy. :) On a side note, for those who have them already installed on an R, how much worse was the tramlining afterwards?

I just ordered last week as well. Put in a note in to let me know if the parts are constrained. No response yet. I'll call them in the next few days, if no response I'll try the MM ones.

More Impressions Got to drive the R a little more this weekend. Still only have about 200 miles on the car, but getting more used to it. The tramlining is getting a little better and less noticeable. Not sure if I'm just getting used to it, but car felt much better over the weekend. Will...

Got the idea off of someone on a Corvette forum of all places. Need it to clear the lift.

Any suggestions on best tire pressure for the street to prevent tramlining on the Cup2s? It came from the factory at 39, aired it down to 32 per the door card. I think that made it much worse but not sure.

I agree in that I'm sure someone coming from a 964 or earlier Porsche would complain that the an E36 is vague by their standards. In the end it is all relative, the E36 just happens to be the current comparison. Compared to almost every other modern car, the 350 has much better feel. I'm glad...

Yes for sure, and 'fresh' being the key word. A slightly modded and well setup E36 M3 is heaven. I chose the GT350 over the M2 because BMW has lost their way. Both having the same steering feel (or lack there), I'd rather have the GT350 dynamics and a voodoo any day of the week.

Splitter One thing I forgot to mention is that I haven't even installed the front splitter yet. I am pretty sure I won't be able to get in and out of the driveway once it is one. Will have to check this weekend and possibly get a non-r splitter.

That's good feedback. Maybe I'll give it some more time or try the Steeda brace.
