  1. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Hijacking this thread to pp1 for a moment. Steve from FP called me on 7/21 to tell me that a revised calibration for pp1 was available for download. Downloaded and will test on my morning commute tomorrow. If anyone is still interested. Pp2 is sitting in a box in the garage, but I'll hold off a...
  2. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Just talked to FP again. The revised tunes they sent out were for pp2. I have pp1. He's getting the pp1 tune together for me. When I first called he asked me if I had a "case." He meant had I called with a problem with the tune. I had not called and reported a problem, but he listened to my...
  3. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

I spoke with Steve at FP on Wednesday. He said they would email me an updated tune for pp1. How long did you wait for your update to arrive?
  4. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

? Revised tune I've had pp1 for a few months. I have rev hang and some throttle jerkiness. I spoke to FP last week. He told me someone was testing a revised tune and would give them feedback. He told me to call him tomorrow. I'll post what he says. I don't know if he meant a revision for pp1...

I'm interested in the group buy as well. I'm ready to upgrade to pp2. Please let me know if this is still possible. Thanks, Lou
  6. PP2 Rev Hang

I have PP1 and have rev hang. I've gotten used to it. When I called FP early on they denied that it existed. When I'm driving on secondary roads in third gear around 3K rpm and let off the gas it hangs there at 3K for a few seconds. Maybe Jim's San Diego tuner can fix that for me.
  7. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

I haven't noticed any hesitation. Throttle response is more aggressive with PP1. I haven't had any problems. Part throttle response is crisper.
  8. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

I noticed a snappier throttle response and stronger pull. I can shift a little later and the no lift shift is fun. Of course, I'm used to it now and want to move up to PP2 or 3. I'm not sure if the PMAS intake is CARB certified. Need to have that in Cali.
  9. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

I installed PP1 myself. About one minute to install the K&N filter and five minutes to upload the tune. No issues or CELs.
  10. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Guess I'll go with Ken Grody then. Another plus is that their tech's have already installed a few pp2s. I won't be their first.
  11. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

I'm in Carlsbad. Ken Grody Ford quoted me $300 initially, but then upped it to $400 because "the tune takes a long time to load. " What speed shop did you go to?
  12. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Everything in Cali has to have a CARB EO number. I don't think the PMAS does. Even Roush stuff is not legal in Cali. We're kind of stuck with the Ford Performance stuff for on road vehicles.
  13. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Mbeale68 I'll let you know what I find out. I live in North County. There is Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad and Encinitas Ford and El Cajon Ford which is a little bit of a drive. I'd drive to El Cajon if the price was right.
  14. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

PP1 to PP2 I've been driving the PP1 on my 16 GT manual trans. I like the no lift shift, but don't use it often. If you miss a shift you won't hit the rev limiter which is nice. I'm thinking of burning my tax return on PP2. My dealer couldn't match Levittown's price and advised me to buy from...
  15. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

What dealer is this? I live in Carlsbad. Thanks.
  16. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Thanks for the review. I have PP1 also and am enjoying it as you are with no problems. I installed it myself in 10 minutes. The car pulls strongly to 7200 although I don't go there very often. I may go with PP2 in the Spring. One FP guy told me that they might offer a discout if you already...
  17. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

That should have been 7200. Yeah, 72K. Imagine what THAT would do to the oil pump gear
  18. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

For what it's worth, I'very had PP1 for a month or so. No dyno data, but it feels like it's pulling harder all the way to 72K rpm. I've tried the no lift shift feature a few times and that works okay too. I got it from levittown for 395.00. Not bad power gains for 15 minutes of work. Also, it's...
  19. Ford Performance Power Pack 1 Tune issue, looking for feedback

Thanks Rustang. Maybe I'll try this over the weekend. It would be nice to make this go away.
  20. Ford Performance Power Pack 1 Tune issue, looking for feedback

I spoke with a Ford Performance tech just now. I explained the issue. He checked with other techs and said they haven't had any other reports of these problems. He said the PP1 tune "doesn't touch that dash pot." He suggested that I prove it to myself by restoring the stock tune temporarily. Not...
