Not that important. Car is a year old 12K miles and paid off. I am going to call Shelby American and see what options they may have. If heat soak is something that can’t be overcome for track play then I will just get a tune I guess.
I know it’s that time of the year when you first start your car in the morning the care is already warmed up.
Would Whipple be a better choice for heat soak or are all SC’s going to respond to our heat the same. Wasn’t sure if some had better cooling. I DD the car and do about 4-5 HPDE track...
I’m looking at the phase 2 kit. Levittown has the kit for around $7,400 and my local dealer said $1,600 to install. Is that a fair price for this setup.
I wish, I am in AZ and I believe they are in Michigan. From what I am hearing the Whipple seems to be very scalable and I could get a couple tunes, one for track and one for street. That way I don’t turn the road course into a drift course. Lol.
Al at Race Louvers said lined up with front or back with the extreme RX Center Vent was just a preference of looks. He said the RX with its built in wicker would perform the same. My wife and kids were looking at me and asking if I was crazy. I said yes and continued cutting. My goal is to...
So far so good. AIT’s have been lower as well. I had a couple of freeway pulls and you can feel the front end pushing down the faster you go. I have a track day here June 6th so I will have a much better review after that. Al was great to work with. Solid product.
Recently installed Race Louvers myself and looking forward to track day in June. Will be a great time to test cooling here in AZ. Not sure how much downforce I will experience as the track straight only gets up to about 100 mph before 90 degree right turn. @AlbertD and @Brian@BMVK helped me...
Is the stock tune stored on the Procal 4 so you can return car to stock tune? Just wondering if kit can be resold as used if I decide to go with a supercharger later.
Thanks for your response. I like the SVE SP2 wheel as well. They are on back order. I think I may go the 19x10 route as well for simplicity and easy wheel change between track days and daily driving.
