How can you tell what the offset is on factory wheels?

The fob can't be touching the tin, otherwise the tin is just an antenna. Line the tin with some closed cell foam, and it should work. I've done it with the car fobs, and my cell phone. No signal gets to the items in the lined tin.

Sometimes, the cost of these things can amaze you. I had to replace a taillight on my '20, and luckily, it was under warranty. $1,200.00 for the part, and $120 labor to install. Lord knows what a fender, bumper cover and deck lid would cost.
