Please understand that Iām retired, so my definition of daily driver is wildly different and this reply is just for fun. The F-250 was my last daily before retiring and is now used only to haul my other toys around.
You canāt go wrong with a low mileage, limited production car thatās as much fun to drive as the Mach 1. Donāt let cloth seats be a deal killer as I agree that they are comfortable, and Katzkin makes some amazing leather seat cover options you can always add on for a very reasonable cost.
You wonāt ever regret your decision to get this very well set up Mach 1. Iāve owned many cars and my M1 is very high in the top 3! Enjoy the ride and stay safe!
DO IT!!
I did a fly in to purchase my M1 new and drove home 600+ miles same day and had a blast doing it. Yes, I alternated speeds from highway speed limit to well above speed limit to adhere to the break in requirements. š
Since you already have a newer GT500 Iām going down a different path here. Iād suggest adding a classic GT500 with the same money and then you can enjoy both new and old school cars like I do. Iām prejuiced towards big bodied sportsroofs so would say a 69 or 70 Shelby would do the trick. It...
@hockeydave55 Sweet upgrade and appreciate you taking the time to share. A buddy who bought the twin to my Mach after seeing it is talking about this same upgrade. Any idea of an installed cost to replicate what they did for you? Thanks!
I did mine only after tinting my windows and realizing the roof wrapped would make the top look like continuous glass and am SO glad I did. I also think it would look great on your car color!
If you decide to do it, be sure they wrap your antenna as well.
Iām older than you are and say go for it and I guarantee you wonāt have any regrets. I did go to the A10 just to get a break from my other manual and still smile every time I drive my Mach 1. It only goes as fast as you want it to and is quite docile the rest of the time like when Iām with my...
Yep, Iām also still in CA doing my best to piss off electric car drivers when I pass by them making a lot of noise with both the cars pictured. Makes me smile every time! š
From my experience, Im guessing it would cost the dealer or Ford less money to offer an extended warranty versus a full buy back. Dealers cost on warranties are around half or less than what they sell them for so a cheap solution on their end.
Iām admittedly anal about my cars and completely understand your frustration here. With the warranty issues now solved and assuming youāre not experiencing any more currently, Iād actually keep your great ride and make your dealer give you the longest extended warranty available at no charge for...
So Iām going to admit that I commented earlier about not really liking the DH which is where this post got started, however after seeing some of you going after others regarding what makes a Mustang right in your eyes and what you donāt like about others options choices has me now thinking all...
Donāt know if anyone follows BaT auctions but a 275 mile DH with a $67k msrp just sold for $60k. I donāt remember ever seeing a new Mach 1 sell for $7k off in its first year of production if that tells us anything about which one is preferred by most.
