UPDATE #2: I traced the webbing from the plastic piece in the trunk to the inside of the car. The webbing attaches to the bottom edge of the convertible top, on both sides. I would "assume" it helps stabilize the top while in the up position. Now I need to determine if they need to be screwed...
Really strange, both parts become loose when the top is down. I am not sure where the webbing material goes since it is all sheet metal. I am curious why there are screw holes in the part(s) and the sheet metal, but neither is screwed in. I managed to get the one, in the photo, to stay in...
Update: I crawled into the trunk and saw the part has locating pins and two screw holes. There are corresponding holes in the sheet metal. I checked the one on the other side and it also has not been screwed into position, just snapped in.
Can someone look at their part, and let me know if...
I was drying the car today, and had the trunk open when I looked in and saw what appeared to be black box hanging down, just below the top mechanism on the left side. I checked and there is one on the right side, but it is secured and lays flat against the sheet metal. So, I tried snapping the...
I have three dealers within a 50 mile radius. Only one had an order show on the link. It was a GT Premium with the Black Accent Group for $40,990! No other options listed. No 10 speed, no digital dash, no magna-ride, etc., so it is basically a stripped '17 with a nose job.
I would have preferred the Heads UP Display. Having had two cars with them, I really miss it. At night you can darken the entire dash and everything appears to be projected out about 6" in front of the car. If something went wrong the gauge on the dash for that particular operation, i.e. Oil...
I traded my 2015 Coupe, on 8 Sep, for a 2017 Convertible, same color with Premier interior. The discounted price did not hurt either. Ford allegedly has a 114 day supply of Mustangs and the '18s are just around the corner.
I think the current sales problem goes back to Ford announcing the...
Look at the spare tire. It will tell you the speed it is limited to. You do not want to exceed that speed/distance. What does your owners manual say? What do the directions in the spare tire area tell you ? I had a large yellow sticker on my last car with the speed and distance data right on...
Go back to your dealer salesperson, and explain your medical problem. Ask them if they would make a trade for a 2017, Auto, in stock. The deals are out there, as it is end of year and the '18s are going to be moving in. Give it a shot, nothing to lose.
With everything that has been said, please add my .02. My 2015 Eco had the 18" Goodyears. My driving is 95% highway, at speed, 80 mph. The Goodyears were very quiet, especially on the grooved Interstate. My 2011 Gt/CS and my 3 week old 2017 Eco Convertible have the 19" P Zeros, they are...
Lots of new tech on this car. The instrument cluster has the 12" LCD in lieu of gauges, and the 401A pkg with the upgraded interior, as well as NAV. To lower the price, if you are not racing it, delete the PP (- $3995.) and the Magni-Ride ($1695) to bring it into a more affordable...
First, there is no reason for any consumer to jump through hoops. Your warranty is valid and should cover the repair. My suggestion, which worked in another situation, not Ford related, go online, look up the Better Business Bureau in Ford Corporate Headquarters city of Dearborn. File a...
I have not heard of Clear Bar. I did a search and couldn't find any information on line about it. Can you tell me more about it? Looks great in the photos.
I have an early build EB. Built in Oct 2014, purchased new in Nov 2014. My VIN starts with 31000. Its' Blend Date was Oct 10, 2014. My engine appears to have been built 22 Jul 2014.
I do not have a 50 State emissions car, according the labels under the hood. Not for sale or use in California or...
I don't have advice, sorry, but here is a link to the Mustang Ecoboost forum. Don't know if you posted on that site or not, but they may be able to help.

Since you have an EcoBoost, here is a forum dedicated specifically to that car. I have found it very informative. Hope this also helps.

My .02. I bought the EB simply because I felt 310 HP and 320 lb ft of torque was sufficient for me. MY '97 Cobra "only" had 300hp and no one seemed to question it. Also, the EB weighs around 300lbs less then the GT and most of the weight is the lump (V8) in the front of the car. I also...
