Thanks for the input. I guess I want to check this car out to see what is available for equivalent money. If it is as rough as you suspect from the pics, I'll have to rethink how motivated I am to get a Bullitt. Test driving a Bullitt will at least help with that to see how much I like the model...
Right, forgot to mention that, but it definitely contributes to the special look! I like 'em, but Is it just me or does it seem like twice as many louvers would better replicate the 65 look?
That's not what everybody does? Maybe that's why my dream girl left me in the first year...
Just kidding. Your analogy is apt. Personally, I intend to fully consummate the relationship with my car, as I mentioned above.
So is the PP2 the lowest production S550 model? That is a genuine limited...
There is also the question of image. The 50th is a lot more subtle and civilized look. I think many non-Mustang people would casually look at it and assume it's an EB or V6. I like flying a little under the radar of the masses, while people in the know would appreciate what it is.
The Bullitt...
This is what makes it a tough decision. I like that the 50th LE is a more unique car and it is a beautiful package (to my eyes), and I can get a higher quality used car for the same money.
I actually only discovered the 50th last year, somehow it had escaped my radar up til then and I kind of...
That is good advice. I've gotten in trouble before buying more from emotion.
BUT, cars like this are about emotion way more than ordinary cars. If I wasn't a car guy who prioritizes cars with more personality and capability than I really need, I could get much more practical transportation for...
Good points. I am approaching this potential vehicle mostly from a daily driver functional point of view. This car will see routine, relatively light daily driver duty, to the tune of ~6k miles a year and an occasional roadtrip. Driven to work a few days a week , but always garaged at home. It...
As far as tech capabilities, that is not a huge consideration for me. As long as the system it has does what it's supposed to do reliably, I don't think MFT would bother me. I've been trying to research why people seem to be down on it, if there is anything beyond its simply being less...
I agree! I love the DHG color. Probably my all time favorite Mustang colors.
On the other hand. After having a Kona Blue car for years, I am kind of liking the idea of a lighter color car, doesn't show dirt and scratches so much, and Wimbledon is a really nice looking white. Such a classy clean...
I'm pretty resolved to only buy a car that is close enough that I can drive to see it before buying. So I have a 50 year I'm planning to look at in San Antonio (I'm in Houston) with 9800mi asking $36750. It looks pretty much mint from pictures. There is a 2019 DHG Bullitt in Austin with 61k mi...
I recently sold my 2011 GT with the intention of replacing it with a newer car, almost certainly a Mustang. I might be able to make the budget stretch of a new one, but the 7G styling and especially the dash don't make me motivated to do that.
The S550's are pretty cool, though, and I really...
