  1. MAPerformance Bolt-On Turbo Kit - 500whp Proven!

I have a Focus ST, i.e. the turbo 2 L. Turbos only improve efficiency from a standpoint of power, in essence it makes minimal to no impact on the highway because you're only driving NA. If anything, whenever you add forced induction you need to feed in more gas to balance the fuel:air ratio...
  2. MAPerformance Bolt-On Turbo Kit - 500whp Proven!

Thanks for the response guys, I was genuinely curious and seems you have all responded very nicely I don't know about 38 bro, unless if you're going 55. Even in my Focus I don't hit 38 if I'm at the speed limit, and my car is both lighter and has a smaller engine. That's along the lines...
  3. MAPerformance Bolt-On Turbo Kit - 500whp Proven!

Forgive my ignore, but why would someone spend $4k on parts and labor to get an EB into GT territory? I understand turbo cars have very different dynamics and are lighter, but when you're running that much boost I'd bet any fuel economy advantages are out the window. I don't mean to troll, I'm...
  4. 2015+ GT350 Mustang official power specs: 526 HP / 429 LB-FT!

I'm not sure about that. A lot of fast cars are so composed you feel like you're going 60 even at 100. You take a Fiesta ST, mod the hell out of it and take that up to 100 and all the vibrations will make you feel like you're going 250 :ford:
  5. 2015+ GT350 Mustang official power specs: 526 HP / 429 LB-FT!

My instructor likes to say that a good driver in a base auto focus will usually beat a bad driver in an expensive track vehicle
  6. 2015+ GT350 Mustang official power specs: 526 HP / 429 LB-FT!

There's also the magnetic suspension, which is an absolute bitch to do aftermarket because of tuning is so time consuming and expensive
  7. 2015+ GT350 Mustang official power specs: 526 HP / 429 LB-FT!

Anyone else notice how perfectly linear that HP curve is? That is exceptional for a track, as you could can perfectly control speed around turns by just modulating the gas pedal.
  8. How to beat a C7 corevette for $1600 in Mods

I'm honestly surprised you were faster than the auto c7, that car should still make more power than you and is considerably lighter (unless of course he didn't get a tune with his intake, which could actually hurt performance)
  9. Dreaming- I wish Ford would build us a AWD Mustang

Word on the street is the idea has been considered, but it's just not feasible for the price. At even $50k for a Shelby, you would get a very underwhelming performer.
  10. First Camaro 6th Gen Wrecked

I thought what GM did was fair. Jalopnik was given a chance to mend relations for scooping their launch (which actually is a very big deal), and they blew it by being the village idiot that crashed a test car. Now being realistic, as he mentioned other journalists also crash test cars. But when...
  11. GT350 with window sticker

Only when you intentionally are misleading others
  12. GT350 with window sticker

It's fake. There's a whole of bunch of evidence that's a photoshop, namely there isn't even a single photo of the car with the sticker in that viewpoint lol. Looks like the mods also responded to my flag to have it removed, it was a clear effort to troll people and spreaded the a false message...
  13. GT350 with window sticker

It's functional though. That shape was engineered for optimal aerodynamics on high speed tracks, not to appeal customers with its appearance.
  14. GT350 with window sticker

You guys need to see it in person, it looks so much more aggressive than the regular S550 (and is significantly louder too)
  15. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

So what? I'm saying that there exist 4.6L v8s that are really fun cars to mod. He asked about the 4.6 so I brought up arguably the best variant ford produced.
  16. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

I should add though that my friends with cobras also all agree the car is pretty shitty outside of going fast. If you have the money, I would say the EB is eons better just because of how much nicer the car is - which frankly is what you should care about the most, given you're the one stuck...
  17. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

The EB might actually feel faster due to the torque curve. But one thing to consider is the 4 valve 4.6 is known for being literally a modder's paradise. I've heard of people buying an old cobra for $15k then with just $3k worth of mods get easily 600 hp.
  18. 2015 GT350 Mustang Options Pricing

Can we leave out the Camaro from this thread? There are plenty of threads discussing it, and more specifically a lot of them on why the Camaro is expected to gain weight overall. Feel free to bring that up there, but I'd like to keep the focus on this thread just to pricing.
  19. 2015 GT350 Mustang Options Pricing

Cost reduction through removing a lot of the other features. No back bench and barebones for the electrical circuitry does help bring down the production cost a lot.
