I've really been thinking of getting a set of 19x11" Apex wheels myself, as I intend to track the car, but haven't pulled the trigger since I also saw the 20" offering. The square setup doesn't require usage of any wheel spacers, correct?
I used the Wide SRP pedals on my car, and love them. Still a bit difficult for me to roll over though due to the pedal height differences. May need to try out that spacer trick
I’ve had my Soler TB installed on my ’20 GT350 for about two weeks and the car ran great, until two days ago – looking to see if any of you had similar issue(s).
Stopped at a light, the car started to struggle and drop revs at idle. The idle rpm struggled to stay consistent, dropping down twice...
Wow, @1 old racer glad you're ok! I think I'll stick to full face helmets now. Lots of great information here, and I appreciate all of your responses. I had never heard of Zamp before, but will give them a look. What I've struggled to find consistently is helmet weights - the only ones that I...
I've been looking to get my own helmet for track and autocross duty, but supply chain issues have made trying on a variety of helmets difficult. I had my eye set on a Simpson Viper (which I was able to try on) or Bell M.8, as they had very good visibility and seemed to have a decent amount of...
So it doesn't sound like it's a terrible idea per se to utilize the Quickfit/QF Pro, but one should be ready for an instructor to not allow it. Does that sound about right?
@ChipG which belts did you get from schroth to act as anti-submarine belts? I see in your history you got a bracket from...
This thread has been very informative, but being a newbie myself, I'm a bit confused. I was also considering purchasing the Schroth QuickFit & QuickFit Pro for HPDE events, primarily to help keep me in place and not have to support and brace myself with my legs or hands on the wheel during...
I had the same issue. In my experience, it was partly the spring on the pull-up collar buzzing. If you want a DIY fix, autofanatic on youtube came up with a way to decrease the vibration from the spring if I remember correctly.
If you want a more robust solution, you can always get an MGW...
It’s seized pretty solid.. and all the clips are off. Car was in neutral. No amount of penetrating oil and what little force I could put on it would budge it. Frustrating to be stymied by one stupid pin.
