  1. Final gut check - about to buy a GT350

Nope, Gen 2 now... The Gen 1 didn't blow, just gulped oil. My Gen 2 has no oil appetite, but it does have piston slap until it is warmed up. Love the 350, best car I've ever owned. Best handling, best sounding, and best looking mustang ever. It makes me smile. I don't need it to be faster...
  2. Final gut check - about to buy a GT350

Check oil levels every 500mi... Your poor maintenance comment is not accurate
  3. Final gut check - about to buy a GT350

It doesn't have the Shelby badge -- if that is important to the buyers XX years from now...
  4. Can we consider the Mach 1 a Shelby GT350 with an automatic transmission?

Or just get old enough to not care what other cars do and enjoy yours. These days just go buy a Tesla Plaid if you want to be the fastest out there...
  5. Engine replaced, did it throw off alignment?

Agree. Service manager reported back that it was aligned after the engine replacement. Said it's just the tires and the fact that it is a track designed car. I'll be getting it aligned when new tires go on, will see if it is off. As you know, you can only do toe in on these cars on the front.
  6. Engine replaced, did it throw off alignment?

Benpak Bendpack, two post, open top
  7. Engine replaced, did it throw off alignment?

Steering wheel is straight. Back tires wore out at 13k, but fronts still had some meat on them, my guess was I'd get to 20-25k out of them. So honestly not a huge loss at 15k. I have a car lift (not drive on), and put the car up on it a fair amount. Always look at tires and never noticed...
  8. Engine replaced, did it throw off alignment?

So my engine was replaced by Ford. I've put 2k on the car since and just noticed my front tires are down to the cords on the inside shoulder. The tires seemed to be wearing evenly until I noticed this. Tires have 15k on them. My understanding is that they drop the engine down and it involves...
  9. Installed a new set of Pilot Sport 4S on GT350R - completely lost that "sharp" feeling. Car does not feel stable anymore

I need SSs for the front, once again on national backorder (I went through this on backs last year). I'm looking at options, and I put this together. May be helpful to others You can see what I am thinking
  10. Salesman told me I don't need to do a service @ 1600 Miles

    Spirited during break in?
  11. Who needs a FL2087 oil filter? Act Fast

Ok, I'm lazy. Bought the whole unit -- filter, o-rings, and canister.
  12. Holy Tramlining!

I went to zero toe and it helped. Steeda brace did nothing
  13. Piston Slap Poll

I have a 2017 and the engine was replaced under warranty last year due to oil consumption. The good news is that the oil issue is gone with the new gen 2 engine. However, the new engine has piston slap in 2k-3k range (just like the original one). It only happens until the engine warms up. I...
  14. 2017 engine is being replaced

So, I now have 1,100 miles on the new engine and it has not burned a drop of oil
  15. Vibration

Notice it high revs when driving and it is under load.
  16. Oil drain plug

Has anyone ever heard of the plastic one coming out???
  17. My insurance change.

My GEICO policy is about $600/yr with low mileage discount. Even if Haggerty was a savings, I'd shy away from the limitations cited.
  18. Vibration

I have the same issue with my 350. Didn't have it before the engine was replaced last Fall. Initially it was terrible, brought back to dealer and they did something that seemed to resolve it. I just noticed it in the last couple of days at high rpms (I have gotten past 1k on the new...
  19. Let's talk GT350 oil

I bought a Ford extended when I got the car. I have 2 years left
