  1. Deck Lid and Ford Quality Issues

I agree the German results are not applicable to us in North America. Many different models and manufacturing plants. The US chart lines up anecdotally with what we tend to see in forums and social media. The bottom 4 are no surprise as they've been junk for quite some time. I am a big...
  2. 22 S550 Tracking Thread

I was told by my local dealer (take it for what it is worth) that Ford's shipping contractor has a very significant labor supply shortage. So vehicles sitting ready to ship have been affected by the shortage of contractor labor, rail cars, auto carrier drivers, etc, etc. I would assume Ford has...
  3. Steeda products rusting?

Good materials like high alloy steel do not need ongoing maintenance. I have read where Mustangs may have 409 stainless steel OEM exhaust. https://rolledmetalproducts.com/stainless-steel-type-409/ It is the 'go to' for stock exhausts in many cases. Aftermarket parts better be at least that good.
  4. Mustang stuck at rail yard for over a month?

I finally have word mine has left Flat Rock. Next stop is the rail yard in Calgary before it gets loaded on an auto carrier for the remainder of the trip. Wonder how many more weeks (months) it will be before I actually sit behind the wheel.
  5. Steeda products rusting?

That is why I would not mess with any exhaust system that is not a good alloy. My SS stock exhaust on my 2007 Infiniti with 210,000 km on the clock was still going strong (one muffler excepted) when I sold it a few months ago. No one should have to replace any of these basic parts for the 15-20...
  6. SOS - Car won’t start (SOLVED!)

My guess is the ECU (Engine Control Unit) or the BCM (Body Control Module), or both, is toast.
  7. Any Meetups in Okanagan this year 2022?

Mine has not been delivered yet but will be almost an exact copy of yours with a few minor differences. I will be doing ppf on mine plus ceramic coat whenever it actually gets here.
  8. Waiting...the struggle is real

A lot of us are waiting for the vehicles to leave the Flat Rock rail yard. My last update was late March and mine had been 'waiting on rail shipment' since late Feb (ordered Oct 14, 21). Dealer has no idea what has been holding it up either. I've not queried since late March but will make...
  9. Any Meetups in Okanagan this year 2022?

I am not aware of any. Whatever used to be active in the way of Mustang clubs in the Okanagan is in the past and seems to have run out of momentum. https://www.cmoc.ca/western-canada-72/okanagan-mustang-association-membership-drive-20278/
  10. Ford Mustang Keeps Dominating Every Other Sports Car In The World

I have been in both. Post #36 says it all. They are not directly comparable at all.
  11. Factory Steering Issues

The issue may have more to do with the tires than alignment. Tire construction, especially with low profile tires, makes a huge difference on a vehicle's ability to track straight on uneven surfaces, especially tracks in pavement over time from heavy trucks. I went through different tire brands...
  12. Mustang stuck at rail yard for over a month?

I empathize. My dealer cannot tell me why mine is? (was?) still stuck at Flat Rock waiting on rail shipment for about 6 weeks either. My only consolations for the moment are that I am saving on insurance in the interim and it is not quite top down weather yet.
  13. All S550 model years of 5.0 Coyote: How many have NOT had any Coyote issues?

Ford has to do something about their quality control. Most of that is inexcusable.
  14. What has owning a mustang taught you?

A stock GT premium is plenty satisfying enough for me. Enough money will be spent fixing things that break/dysfunction frequently enough on a Ford.
  15. Is anyone else in northern climates just getting their S550 out of hibernation? How does it feel?

Fortunately, in the BC Interior where I am, it typically does not snow again after March 1st, so that by mid-March, the streets are free of snow piles and associated road salt. My plan, when it arrives, is to drive my vehicle from about mid-March to mid-November regularly, and during the...
  16. Anyone else not get active exhaust?

I am with the folks who didn't order AE. It is just one more thing to fix.
  17. Buying a 350 this Monday

One has to wonder if Ford will ever get quality control up to a top tier standing worthy of being proud of. Too many persistent and long standing issues.
  18. Buying a 350 this Monday

There is something wrong with how Ford does it if corrosion happens like that. My 16 year old Infiniti has an aluminum hood and trunk lid and there has never been a spot of corrosion.
  19. Carwash ok for S550?

Touchless car washes where the spray arms rotate around the vehicle are the 'go to' options for many months of the year in Canada. There is no other viable option. It is where I took my Infiniti for 16 years and the paint remained like new. They are perfectly fine for the purpose intended. In...
  20. Senior S550 Owners Like Black Wheels?

I ordered the Black Accent package to go with the carbonized grey. The black offsets the gray perfectly.
