Whenever I tell someone how much "less" I got for that 20k over the GT, I always joke that for only 10k more they would've removed the radio and A/C too!
Going from a 16 GT to a 17 GT350, the lights were the first thing I noticed - in addition to the lack of backup sensors. Then I started the engine and... what was I talking about again?
I'm wanting to order the Shifteck mid-pipes, but my only concern is losing the vibration dampers. Will that cause issues with my stock headers? I'm hearing the dampers were put there because Ford development cars were cracking headers due to Voodoo vibrations. Is there any truth to that?
Just curious - has anyone with a tune had a motor warrantied? If so, were there any issues having to fight Ford for a new motor? Been wanting to throw on a Lund Flex Fuel tune since day 1, but this thread has me nervous should the need for a warranty repair arise.
And yes, before anyone...
LOL pretty much this.
But if you're dead set on getting one, as a fellow Houstonian if I had to choose I'd do Track Pack and add "Tech". To me, swapping a radio sounds a hell of a lot less involved than adding the coolers, spoiler, etc. Have you sat in the Recaros yet? I'm a bigger (aka fat)...
I'm so wanting to do this mod, but I'm scared as hell of breaking this engine. I've seen so many people throw a Whipple on these things, but then they seem to fall off the map (too busy driving and having fun, I guess). I think I need to see some "high mileage" (30-40k miles) Whipple experiences...
I didn't realize CB005 was needed for the GT350. I knew of them when I had my GT (non-PP), but thought it was to remove some of the "floatiness" in turns - along w/reducing wheel hop. Should I be looking at this mod on the Shelby?
If getting a 2017 is on the table, I'd look for a new one instead of a pre-owned/CPO. I got my new 2017 last week for almost $5k UNDER sticker last week. For me, I wanted a 2017 specifically for Avalanche Gray.
If it doesn't have to be 2019 and there is no 2018+ color you're attached to, buying...
So if centri blowers are just good for quarter mile passes, which racing format benefits from power between 2000 and 3499 RPM?
Usually when I race I'm at WOT. If I'm roll racing, I generally don't go to a gear that puts me at 2000 RPM. Just like when Beefcake doesn't launch from idle at the...
