I really doubt that Ford Australia will fold from lack of Mustang sales, as has been mentioned before they will sell all they can get their hands on. It appears Ford Au can be arrogant when it comes to the Mustang for the reason above. A lot of people don't like the way they have been treated...
Apart from a single phone call back in November sometime (and all the promises that the lovely lady made!!!), I have not had any contact from Ford. I have only contacted my dealer once and that was to obtain my VIN. I don't believe they have my e-mail address (or a correct address anyway). I...
Big relief for everyone who's car was loaded on the Endurance. Hopefully those that didn't get on will be on the Faust. @Melbnut how is your rating of Ford now that your car is locked and loaded on the Endurance?
Don't be so negative. The power of positive thinking is underrated.
If we all believe that our cars that are waiting to be loaded, will be loaded then there is a good chance it will occur. Or, I could be deluding myself and in self denial that all our cars were damaged by the snow. This is...
There are 8 more days until the Endurance departs Baltimore. If 136 or so cars were received at terminal on the 20/1/16 then there is a high chance that many more will be booked and loaded onto this vessel in that time.
Looks like I am also booked on the Endurance too. Of interest, I noticed that my car was booked on 19/1/15 at Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey before being received at terminal (Baltimore) on 20/1/15. What does this mean? I was under the impression that the car had been sitting around at Baltimore for...
I ordered mine through Chadstone Ford who are also about 15km from the Port, thought we may have the same dealer! Haven't been too impressed with my dealer as haven't heard from them once since my order was put in. They did respond to my request for a VIN however.
I chose race red as I like the colour and the salesman at the time of order advised me it was very similar to a red Mondeo on the showroom floor. I still worry that I may not have chosen the right colour as we did not have actual cars to see prior to ordering and seeing a car in the flesh is...
Has anyone had their car booked or loaded onto the Talisman yet. Due to leave on 15/1/16. Just wondering if there will be a last minute rush or not.
Apparently my car has been waiting at the docks since 23/12/15 which makes it about 23 days. I seem to recall that it took about that long to get...
It appears that once the cars get to the port, they are dealt with by a third party (Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics- they have their own terminal spot at Baltimore; Dundalk Terminal) which does everything from unloading them off the rail transport, organizes fumigation and customs paperwork and...
Wasn't aware of that. I know that the cars need to be fumigated and go through customs though. Are they under Ford Au or Ford NA at this stage?
At what stage are they 'booked' onto the ship and is that when Ford AU takes over? These are the questions I think we should have answered and may...
I feel your pain Melbnut. I don't think Ford AU have much control over the cars prior to them landing in Australia so it would appear the logistics problems are Ford NA related. It would be good if we could get a breakdown of the port procedures which may explain the delays and the...
You really need to listen to them in person. You tube video comparisons reveal that the ATAK is slightly higher pitched (to my ears) and I prefer the S-Type cat back but I personally will not purchase an exhaust until I have heard them in the flesh otherwise I am sure I will regret the purchase.
According to FORD Etis, if you plug in the VIN it states that it is a race red car, 6 speed auto. So Melbnut, if your happy with the auto then I would definitely chase Ford Au to give it to you.
Was yours an engine back, catback or axleback system? At what rev range would it drone? Do you know which states make it illegal unless factory original? Thanks for letting me bust your balls a little.
