I looked into this module, as well. The fact that it hasn't been retrofitted for the S550, after 3 years of production, tells me it can't be done easily.
CDC also changed the installation of the cutoff for the light bar brake light when the top is up. The S197 cutoff is wired into the car...
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued "voluntary" guidelines for auto manufacturers to limit driver distraction. They were made voluntary because technology is constantly changing.
The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (AAM) adopted these guidelines as a...
:faint:Ouch, thanks for the lashing! More can be said about providing codes to override a government mandated safety feature than overriding Ford's attempt to limit warranty repair costs as a result of using plastic gears.
I'm not interested in operating the top at 30 mph. As soon as I take...
I find the Security chapter in the U.S. owner's manual to be misleading, and I was thoroughly confused about the different alarm systems on the 2015-2017 mustang. After reading the 2016 European owner's manual, which has more detail on the different systems, as well as other sources and owners'...
I had to look up the definition of sibilant, but that's a great way to define the distortion. It's a buzzing sound, similar to an analog radio that's not perfectly tuned to the station. As I previously mentioned, it's not 100% of the time. When it happens, it's coming from both speakers at the...
Check out the "sunroof" open & close wiring in the same PDF above. Now you just need to figure out how to splice-in a one touch module or timer.
At this point, I'd be happy with moving the switch off the windshield header. It's just embarrassing, having to hold the button while everyone...
UPDATE: I discovered today that my distortion issue is coming primarily from the A-pillar tweeters. I initially thought the tweeters were busted by the dealership employee, who drove my car 100+ miles to the location where I picked it up. I have no doubt that the whole trip was top down and...
I asked my dealer for a seatbelt extension for my pregnant wife, when I bought my mustang on 6/22/17. According to my dealer, Ford doesn't make a seatbelt extender for the 2015-17 mustang. They couldn't find a part number (neither could I), so they submitted the question to Ford's dealer...
Speed Sense Wire in PCM
I don't remember who originally posted this PDF wiring information on Mustang6g, as a reference for stereo wiring, but he/she may have inadvertently given us the answer. :hail:
Take a look at the Speed Sense wire on page 2. In case you're unable to open my attachment...
Well, it seems no one is interested in helping me upgrade my base 6 speaker stereo, but I learned something today that may be helpful to others.
On my 2017 V6 convertible, the rear speakers get almost no attention from the head unit. Almost 100% of the sound from them is midrange. Changing...
I see several mentions of "base stereos" in this thread, but none of you are actually talking about the base 6 speaker stereo, from what I can tell. Hopefully, you can lend some advice on my planned stereo upgrade. Bear with me, as I know very little about stereo systems and their terminology...
My 2017 has auto up on the front windows. The rear windows also roll down with the global open feature on the key fob (they're still manual up/down when using the switch on the driver's door). Not sure if the 2015-2016 had this.
