The 2015 builder is back up now. It's being flakey about what zip codes it recognizes as valid when you first get to it. They have added all weather floor mats under Accessories. I guess it will be going up and down periodically for a while.
:kickrock::kickrock::kickrock::kickrock::kickrock::kickrock:So isn't it about time Ford put the full version of the 2015 Mustang Build and Price widget up on their website? If the production line for the S550 is now running (however slowly), I'm not sure what they're waiting for.
I suspect that manual transmissions of some sort will be around in performance cars for as long as there is a significant (profitable) market for them. The most sophisticated technology doesn't always win the hearts and minds of consumers. Ask anyone who invested heavily in the Beta-Max video...
No Mustang sedans, no Mustang wagons. If somebody at Ford is truly hell-bent on this sort of madness then at the very least badge the damned things as Lincolns and change the front and rear treatments so those vehicles don't even vaguely resemble Mustangs. :-)
Love Topnotch's render. Make that shade of gray a metallic paint with the same amount of metal flake in it as "Magnetic" and give those rims a polished aluminum or brushed nickel finish and THAT's what I'd spend my 2014 tax return on to put it in my driveway.
I would have thought for sure someone would have suggested HIDALGO since it's about a famous race-winning Mustang (an actual horse). Maybe not enough people saw the movie to make the reference worthwhile.
Please, God, no fake scoops - of any kind. Visually those things are among the worst things Ford (or anyone else) ever did to the outside of Mustang. Make it functional or make it gone.
Obviously not everyone's taste, but what I would personally love to see is an ingot silver GT premium with magnetic metallic LeMans stripes over the top and magnetic metallic side stripes - with the 50th Anniversary LE rims. I think that would look understated, but wicked cool.
I don't think it's ever too late to invent a new classic. Boss, Mach1, GT350, GT500, all of these were once new name plates. What makes enthusiasts love them and want them to come back is that their reputations were established on serious substance: breath-taking performance provided in an...
Maybe also try showing it in some of the more vibrant colors available on other Ford cars and trucks? Like:
Molten Orange
Tangerine Scream
Blue Flame
Green Envy
Bronze Fire
No intention to offend anyone. Beauty ( including sexiness ) is in the eye of the beholder. If this color turns out to be like the Audi battleship gray and folks love it, then good on 'em. I would personally pick something else.
So if it turns out that sort of shade is actually what eventually ends up on the car, what is it that people like about it? Particularly with all-black wheels, it seems very industrial/utilitarian/institutional to me.
I'm kind of hoping it is a metallic paint. I'd love to see something like an updated version of Silver Smoke Gray - something that has just a little bit more of a blue undertone than Magnetic.
