Didn't work. Best I see is to select Nav while in SYNC then select Waze as the map. I don't understand why the Waze icon never shows along the bottom of SYNC screen.
I now see. So what about the early 2018 press release where it shows the Waze icon in the SYNC environment rather than within Android Auto? Even that would be an improvement to not have to rely solely on AA running...
