Looks good to me RugbyRef, Congrats!
  2. 2018 Transmission 6 speed manual vs. 10 speed automatic

I have to say I agree with your assessment. Maybe the car does adapt to some degree but I've always felt like I was doing a lot more adapting that it was! :) If you disconnect the battery, you'll be starting from scratch anyway so may as well let is adjust on it's own. I can't imagine...
  3. ***Urgent*** Check Clutch Line At Brake Master Cylinder

Thanks for posting this one. I just checked mine. The hose was pulled back slightly like the second picture. I was able to push it back on like the first picture but it took a bit of prodding. The reservoir was filled to normal levels and the hose itself was dry. My wiggling it did not...
  4. 2018 Transmission 6 speed manual vs. 10 speed automatic

Lugging is not just a function of rpms. It's also a function of load. You can drive the car all day long at 1200 to 2000 rpms in any gear as long as you're easy on the throttle. It won't be very satisfying, but it won't hurt anything either.
  5. 2018 5.0 Highway MPG

I understand that! My other car is a 2013 Toyota Rav4. It's been a great and reliable vehicle but push come to shove, especially considering the difference in performance potential, they're much closer in fuel economy than I every would have thought they'd be. So far, only about 4 mpg less...
  6. 2018 5.0 Highway MPG

That's an assumption on your part. In my ~8000 miles since buying my 2016 GT last November, I've seen computer numbers as high as 25 to 26 mpg. Most of my local driving averages upper 21's to low 22's. All of my manual calculations have averaged around 1.5 mpg less, give or take, than what...
  7. 401A for 2015 GT Vert?

Oops, you're absolutely right. Sorry about that. As Lorne34 said (parphrasing), we meant no ill intent. Steve R.
  8. 401A for 2015 GT Vert?

I fit the car very well. At 6'3", it's amazing to me that the seat will go far enough aft that I can no longer put the clutch all the way to the floor. In my experience, that's unusual. When I first test drove the car, I pulled the seat forward far enough that I could easily put the clutch to...
  9. 401A for 2015 GT Vert?

I appreciate the feedback SVT-DADDY. I've done a lot of looking around on this subject and seen a bunch of comments on the H-pipe / resonator swap while maintaining the stock mufflers. I've gotten the full range of reports from ones like yours to whose who claim it's way louder. My concern...
  10. 401A for 2015 GT Vert?

Oh, ok! I hadn't caught that. Thanks for the heads up, Echo4papa. I like the way it works, so I'll leave it as it is but will definitely keep that in mind if I ever do get the opportunity to put someone in the back seat. Honestly though, I can't imagine doing that to anyone bigger than a...
  11. 2018 5.0 Highway MPG

The car doesn't make any more power in sport mode than it does in normal mode. The only thing sport mode does is remap the drive by wire throttle curves. That just has the throttle opening faster relative to how much you push on the gas peddle so the car "feels" more responsive but really...
  12. 401A for 2015 GT Vert?

I just wish the engine was a "little" louder. Even with the top down, it's very subdued. I'll probably do a resonator delete at some point but I don't want it to be too loud. The primary thing I wanted in the 401A was the blind spott monitoring. The Shaker Pro was a welcome addition. I...
  13. 401A for 2015 GT Vert?

2016 GT convertible with 401A for me. I wanted the 401A for the blind spot monitoring. The upgrade radio was just an extra. I don't know if I would have opted for it if it were a stand alone option but since it was bundled with other options I really wanted, that's just how it worked out. I...
  14. 2018 5.0 Highway MPG

Well, as we both testified, there are no hills of any consequence in the Houston area. What minor grades there may be are man made and so slight as to be inconsequential. I've lived and driven in this part of the world all my life (62 years now!) and I'm anal about keeping a fuel log on my...
  15. 2018 5.0 Highway MPG

Hey millhouse - check out this video: [ame] I think Houston Kid has been up front in what he posted. He admitted his results were not anything that could be expected in real world driving with a GT but given the right conditions and a conservative driver, it's amazing the potential the...
  16. 2018 5.0 Highway MPG

I've had the same experience 2016 GT convertible. My calculated mpg's are always 1 to 1.5 mpg less than what the computer says I'm getting. Sometimes a little better and sometimes a little worse. I filled up this afternoon with the computer saying 22.5 and my calculations came up with 20.8...
  17. My new mustang , orange fury, convertible

That's beautiful. Love the combination. Enjoy! That's hilarious Brian, thanks for the laugh! One thing I noted the other day while playing around with Ford's "built it" utility on their website, is Ford calls that a "dark" ceramic?? I'm not quite sure how they can call that "dark?"
  18. 2018 Transmission 6 speed manual vs. 10 speed automatic

With respects, if this is the first time you've driven a stick in years, then the jerkyness wasn't a problem with the car, but the driver. I drove a manual transmission Civic for seven years and put 230k miles on it. I loved that car until some guy ran a red light and totaled it for me. It's...
  19. Can I get rid of this GIANT key fob?!

I've done some searching around and haven't had much luck. I'd like to find some kind of cover for the fob that will prevent the buttons from being accidentally pushed by other stuff in my pocket. I've found soft sided covers of various colors but the buttons are still exposed so there's no...
