I'm with you on that one. In DI motors you can hear the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors clicking away. Ford will have spent ages trying to minimise that noise. With the full engine cover as one, but not all, of the solutions.

Not one femail member of my family will even have a go in an automatic. Some one pinched my Datsun auto on the top floor of a muti-story car park in Manchester. I found it abandoned on the next level down when I went back to my car.
