  1. Heads-up on Roush hood strut kit on a '19 Bullitt

Good on them. Hard to catch Jack sleeping. ;-)
  2. Line Lock - Wheelspin Feeling Afterwards

No, I wasn't looking to argue about anything. Just wanted to point out that Line Lock has more function than you mentioned, including providing a far more accurate/precise method of applying and releasing the front brakes than using the old "just enough" brake-pedal method, and that Launch...
  3. K0234 - First real road trip

After doing a quick round trip from Halifax, NS to Chester and onto Digby all via secondary roads (550km/350mi), Anna and I took K0234 on a weekend trip around the famous Cabot Trail, along with our friend and his 2012 GT (529 wHP). We had a great time and ran the cars hard for over...
  4. Break in routine

I am in the camp of breaking in an engine quickly with plenty of throttle and off-throttle deceleration. As has been mentioned, this is the way most race engines are broken in and there have been comparative studies done by engine builders where a batch of identical engines were built and half...
  5. Heads-up on Roush hood strut kit on a '19 Bullitt

One also needs to be aware of potential interference with the windshield-washer hose. This is the case with the Ford Performance part and likely with others as well. https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/FORDINSTSHTM-16826-MA_3RD.PDF
  6. K0067 Break-in drive....

Nice pics Brett. Sounds like a great trip and looks very familiar from my years of living in Vancouver and Prince George travelling the areas between the two. A good note for future reference is that when you start driving it hard your overall fuel economy should be quite similar. I've seen...
  7. Line Lock - Wheelspin Feeling Afterwards

Respectively, you are wrong on both points. "Launch control... I find it completely useless and just another nanny for lack of skill" - Ask any professional who has competed at a National level, they'll explain it.
  8. Line Lock - Wheelspin Feeling Afterwards

Don't worry about it being "low RPM for that gear and hill". That is the whole point. You are wanting to load the clutch as much as possible to see if it holds (which it should) or slips. This DIY test is best done on a very steep hill from about 2,000 rpm in 3rd gear. That gives you far more...
  9. Bullitt horn terrible......

I agree 100% Brett. Sure can't for the life of me figure out who at Ford would have spec'd such a horn, and hope they aren't making any future decisions. Funny though, the horn that I've got in my garage that I was thinking of installing on the Bullitt is a Fiamm that I got to install on my VW...
  10. Update: 2019 Bullitt Mustang Order Banks Open, 480 Horsepower, Starts at $46,595 MSRP

FWIW, I paid below MSRP for mine and I ordered it personally (with all options), not a stock floor model.
  11. BULLITT door sill...do they illumined?

Chances are very good and have occurred in the past. It is cheaper and quicker to make, use and install the one wiring loom than to have two.
  12. No more Magneride?

Car salespeople are often the first to make unfounded statements and even more often the last to be told anything by the manufacturer. So I would not place any credence in that until I heard/read it from a reliable source. Both assertions sound unlikely to me.
  13. Brown Bros. Ford In Vancouver Bullitt ADM!

Someone should sue them for false advertising. That's absolutely a scum bag move. Imagine what they'd be asking for the car if it had Recaros!
  14. Bullitt Car Cover

No, the cost is $475 in Canada, not $500. Yes, but that has nothing to do with anything unless it is the same level of cover. Covercraft sells Mustang covers that vary significantly in price based on the actual cover. Their top Mustang cover is 3.5x more expensive than their base Mustang cover...
  15. Anybody change oil filter half way through oil changes?

Please, you haven't provided anything of value. That is absolutely proof of nothing, other than that Ford changed the filter. There is PROOF that the biggest demonstrable change is that the new one is smaller and doesn't filter as well. As I mentioned, the specs I've seen show them having the...
  16. Anybody change oil filter half way through oil changes?

+1 for avoiding Fram filters. They have consistently faired poorly in testing. Motorcraft, Purolator (I believe they make the Motorcraft filters), etc., consistently rank near or at the top and can be bought at Auto Shops etc., for very reasonable prices. Where did you get that info? Please post...
  17. K0067 Thread

Congrats Brett. Trust you're having a great holiday weekend with it. I'm still waiting anxiously. Mine has arrived in the city, but not delivered yet. It is in Halifax on Ramp-75 at the CN Railyard, so I expect it will make it to the dealership on Tuesday or Wednesday (Monday is a holiday...
  18. 2019 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

Looks like ours were placed on the rail cars the same day. Wonder if they're travelling together. ;-) My EDD just moved up from 08/13 to 08/03.
  19. 2019 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

Good to know that someone has developed a better system. Hopefully, Ford can learn from Mini and improve COTUS w/o charging the "Mini" markup. ;-)
  20. 2019 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

Placed my order 2018-04-18 and had my VIN 2018-05-07. Having said that, it would appear that each car can have a very different trip through the process. On 2018-06-20 mine showed "In Order Processing" completed 2018-06-18 and "In Production" with an EDD of 2018-07-30. Now shows "In Production"...
