They need to announce something soon. Ford is getting smacked upside the head from the Hellcat and the Z28. (lets not even mention the C7 and the Z06).
According to Jalponik they had a brake problem. Could be that its such a porker that it doesn't have the correct hardware for track duty. (with that weight it probably needs bigger pistons, rotors and brake lines).
I may be the only one here that likes the current design language of Lexus. yea...
I am really really hoping to see and SVT Mustang..like anything that resembles one and I am all over it.
Preferably in Elanor Silver black stripes and proper trim with a functional hood scoop.
The Z06 C7 is missing along with an SVT Mustang. It still is very impressive numbers that the C7 laid down along with the Viper.
I think the SVT Mustang should be targeting the M4 and at least get close to Stingray performance, maybe outdoing it in a straight line roll quarter mile.
It's a cool looking car, no manual and expect the prices with options to get to the 70k area.
The numbers are very comparable and the interior is gorgeous.
However, many threads complaining about weight here we have the reason why all the technical nannies and more lush interiors add weight...
+1 This
The concept that Mazda has was very good looking, this is just ugly and way of what the concepts where. I will have a hard time believing this will get much better then previous gen. It always pales compared to an S2000, which comes off a much better platform and revs to the moon...
^^well remember the EB will have all the options for performance like recaro's and a performance package for track with larger brakes. The V6 will not have those options and will be more of a daily driver or rental type of car. The 2.3l has the forged internals for upping the power so the...
Actually, this is a thread about the EB, in which the weight is actually right around the same as the 05-09 gen Mustang (3517lbs). That is definitely inline with most cars in its class like the Genessis 4 pot, and even the Corvette and 911 weight around that.
Correction: 3704 for the Manual 3725 for the Auto.. That number listed is for the Convertible.
It's inline with its competition. (Challenger, Camaro, M4(GT). The other cars are two seat sport cars or hot hatches. The FRS and Genesis are more comparable since RWD and have a back seat. The FRS...
The Mustang is right inline with other sports cars as far as weight. The M4 is very close, Infinity GS, and even a GTR weights a lot more. It's more of what you can expect with the government mandates and safety features that add weight along with all the modern technical nannies. The new...
The interior of the S197's are not the best, but for the price range of what you can get one brand new is about what is expected. You can pick up a 5.0 GT with several options under 30k. Good luck finding anything near that price range with all that performance with a V8.
Yes, a reworked and...
Good point, there is dealers across the country with high concentrations of military that will not jack up prices over MSRP. It really depends upon the dealership.
Don't forget, minus the new GTI, the interior and comfort of the S550 should be a notch above these being compared. The looks of the new Mustang is way better then any hot hatch. (although the Focus ST does look good for what it is).
I can't wait for first drives and comparo's, but remember...
When you look at hot hatches, its hard to compare a EB Mustang to them. It's a totally different driving experience and feel. I will have to say, the new GTI is in a class by itself. It's got the crown as the best hot hatch, but the new Fiesta ST is no slouch as well. What is unique about the...
