I feel like we could see AWD here. They were testing AWD setups on the new GT, before ditching it because of the added weight. Most people will say mustangs have to be RWD, but the GT350 is still in production. If Ford dropped 700 HP and AWD in this thing they would smack Chevy and Dodge in the...
Wow glad to see this thread is still alive and kicking! Made this a long time ago.
Anyways, might as well update everybody on my PP1 performance. I have put roughly 8k on the car since the tune. No issues, still feels great. Have used no lift shift a lot throughout the time, and have no...
Yeah I understood what you were saying the whole time. The others saying that "all manual cars do this" are also true, but without a doubt there is something with the tuning. I can easily let off the clutch, not apply power, and my car will begin rolling in the mustang.
In my previous GTI, I...
I downshift all the time when coming to a stop.
Recently took my car in for service, clutch is great, they were amazed at how good my brakes were looking @25k miles.
It depends how you drive, I have driven manuals my whole life, so I would like to think I'm pretty good at it.
annnddd theres the kicker.
Looking at OPs prior comments, he had an unleashed tune.
This is 100% warranty voidable and you aren't going to get much from ford.
lol nope! I went into my dealership to check out some raptors, and while I was there asked about the 18s.
My dealership said they aren't getting any till September most likely, and around late June/early July they'll contact me about my order. I'm still not 100% sold, but when I go in and...
was your car tuned? That would be a factor for sure.
Also like others have said it also depends on the dealer. One dealer might say no, another 5 miles down the road may say yes. It sucks thats the case with the dealerships, but it is what it is.
My suggestion to you is to call some random...
I would go premium. Creature comforts over performance. The opposite of the decision I made in 2015. Nothing wrong with the base and PP, but I'm a sucker for red leather.
Just don't use first gear in the rain, should be no issue then. Also has to be something with the tread on your tires. I recently had mine replaced, and towards the end of their life they were much less grippy, almost forgot how well the car handled, but was reminded with some fresh sticky tires.
Nice car!
I was looking into C6's before buying the Stang. Performance wise its great, everything in the interior looked to dated for me. Since its my only car I went with updated interior over performance.
But enjoy the Vette, you've gotta drive it extra hard to make up for years of under...
Not sure what people on here are saying about over 5k rpms. I have the tune and it will not work at 5k rpms. The whole no lift shift feature just stops your car from OVER revving... it doesn't stop it from revving within the normal limits of 0-7200 rpms. If you try this @5k rpms it will continue...
Based off what you said here its going to be an issue. In your lease it should have a section on modding the car. I believe you are going to have to buy the car out, or pay multiple thousands of $$, but because of the tune I really believe you will have to buy it out.
I have a couple close...
Double click the traction control button fast. This puts the base cars into sport mode. Your middle screen in between the gauges will say sport mode engaged.
I think it may be your A/C. I noticed this on my car, a faint "whining" kinda like blowing over the top of an opened bottle, shifting to second it would get more faint, 3rd it was almost gone, then couldn't hear it when up to speed.
Had to take mine in and have the whole unit replaced...
Do you want to drive your car, or do you want to be driven?
Thats basically how I feel the manual vs automatic argument is.
If the automatic is slightly faster because of the gearing, add more power. Problem solved, the 0.4 second reduced shift time wont mean anything if your car is plain...
This is EXACTLY what my car did, just before my A/C went out. Crazy how spot on this is.
Day 9 with no car
after reading through this Ford is going to have to make something right, crazy how many A/C issues there are.
Just had the same issue on my car, along with the compressor going out. Had to replace A/C completely. At the dealership now.
Happened the day after I took my car in for regular maintenance too...
I noticed it from a whine when starting the vehicle up. A loud whine that would continue and...
That was just me glancing at the service managers chart. I never purchased any insurance or any tire package. Im sure your father will come back with similar information, because prior to getting free tires for myself I had no clue this was available. My friend went in next day and got free...
