I asked ford about that and they indicated it was federal law that they could not deliver a new vehicle with an outstanding safety recall. I agree with you about the recall issue.

It may be because of the recall on the 10-speed automatic. The dealers are not allowed to sell them until the recall issue has been corrected. They won't even let you test drive them.

Tried to pickup my new 2018 GT yesterday (just got here) but it was on a Ford delivery hold because of the recall (the recall just came out) and the dealer can't release it. Ford was indicating mid January for the fix.
