Just want to reply to DRding had the same vibration and they replaced my driveshaft and it was the same or worse. I am a Auto Tech- 30 years. I put the car on my lift after the new drive shaft was installed and the paint match marks on the drive shaft and pinion flange were not lined up. I...
I hard wired my radar detector and ran the power wire to the inside fuse box at the passengers foot well. I tried 2 different unused fuses in the box and they both have power all the time. I am looking for a fuse that is only powered in the run position,or any other suggestions on how other...
I am a auto tech with 30 years experience and had the same problem.Read post # 213 in this thread . Had my drive shaft replaced and my car is good now after I lined up the paint match marks , it is hard to believe that changing the clock position on the drive shaft fixed it Yes the original...
Fuel gauge stopped working last week, miles to empty was correct.Turned car off and back on and it has been fine since. Same thing happened to my radio a few weeks ago. Has anyone else had this issue?
Hey billq sounds just like my experience.Did you read my post # 213. Still can't decide if its fixed or just 90 % better.May have a little vibration or it could be just road/tire noise.
I had the same problem, had the drive shaft replaced and it is good now. Make sure they line up the yellow paint match marks on the drive shaft and pinion flange. The Tech didnt do it on mine, I reinstalled it myself( I am a Tech) makes a big difference lining up the paint match marks.See...
I didnt see any paint marks on the front of the drive shaft. There are paint marks on the rear drive shaft and on the pinion flange on the differential that should be lined up. See post # 86 for pics.
UPDATE:I had my drive shaft replaced last Tuesday, went for a ride with the shop foremen and there was no difference. So they kept the car and road force balanced the tires. They found a bad tire and rim, ordered and replaced them and I picked up the car on Thursday. Drove it home and there was no...
Bad news,I had the new drive shaft installed today and there is no change, same vibration. They rechecked the balance on a road force balancer and I have 1 bad tire. Picking up Thursday but not to confident that it will be fixed,I still think its drive line related.. but hoping the tire will fix...
I am a auto tech and had training this week, the instructor was a former FSE for Ford and I asked him about how a diff. could cause a vibration. He explained that if the teeth on ring and pinion dont mesh evenly the whole way around it will bind and release the drive shaft causing a vibration.My...

Thanks for the updates Juben,Old Ford Guy and 1st Ford, I really appreciate them.I have been driving my car a lot since the weather changed. Definitely have a vibration/rumble that starts at 55 and gets worse at 60-65 ,feels like the drive shaft? Not looking forward to the dealer trip. Would...
Thanks for the update Juben I have the same problem and have not been to the dealer yet and very interested in what they find with your car. Love my car but hate the vibration so PLEASE keep us posted. Thanks,Bill
Yes I was thinking about trying a 1 piece drive shaft but I dont think they make one for a V-6 manual trans yet? Has anyone tried a 1 piece drive shaft on a 2015 mustang yet for the vibration??
Hi Old Ford guy same problem here ,Goodyear tires,I think its the drive shaft or that bearing. I have 400 miles on mine and live in upstate NY . May start driving it next week, please keep us posted and I will do the same.
I am a Auto Tech and have been doing alignments for 35 years. The steering wheel can be off center and the toe could be perfect with no tire wear. Not saying it is perfect the only way to tell is to put it on a alignment rack.If it is off enough it may set a code in the body control module for...
