LETS GET TOGETHER instead of talking about it!
I will be at 4 Winds Casino South Bend, next Saturday 24th from 4:00pm-6:00pm on the TOP FLOOR of their parking garage if anyone cares to join me.
I will buy dinner at any of the restaurants in the casino for up to 2 occupants of the Shelby voted...
No CEL - I have a tune from Brenspeed who are here in N Indiana. The car drives as well or better than stock throughout the rev range.
Note that the OEM exhaust is extremely good compared to most cars. Not only that but all LTH setups that I know of for the GT-350 are unequal-length whereas I...
I have a 42" waist - they quote the Sparco I have as up to 40 but I have plenty of room. I wouldn't stress on the waist with the Sparco's - they seem to have a reasonably wide seat bottom which is what matters for bigger guys.
So how about the Four Winds Casino South Bend? We can meet in the parking lot which has plenty of room. I'm good for pretty much any evening or weekend prior to May 5th after which I will be tied up with business for 2 weeks or so.
Sparco Pilot QRT with a modified Sparco Mustang mounting plate.
I'm 6'3" 225lbs so needed to sit on the floor to get a helmet on.
The seat is a very tight fit in the car as to height and gets close to the side airbag at the top. I unplug that airbag when I install the seat.
The Evo XL QRT will...
I guess that it depends on where you are coming from. It would be manageable for people from Indy, NW Indiana & Ft. Wayne.
There are other drag strips to pick from...
OK - I was at the track Sunday. General opinion - the car is loud - and sounds amazing. I'm going to try to edit my (bad) video so I can post just the sound. I was only going up to 7,500 but when I changed gear going past the pits it was so distracting that I had to concentrate to not miss my...
I was at Gingerman on Sunday (4th) and there was another (black) GT-350 there so maybe that counts as a mini-meet..
A good place to meet is a drag strip running a test n tune - that way you get to run your car if you want and there is other stuff to do and cars to look at. Sadly they have shut...
I recently had Kooks off-road LTH & X-pipes installed with an 93 octane tune by Brenspeed. Everything else is stock. I was doing it in an effort to improve the low and mid-range more than the top end as I tend to drive the track mostly in 4th with only a couple of gearchanges per lap (yep -...
I have to respectfully disagree. Dan Gurney found while testing that in some cases the flap actually reduced overall drag. It is all going to depend on the specific vehicle.
Having said that, I agree that it is likely that the flap will decrease fuel economy on the GT350/500.
What info. do you base this on? Ford had to have a reason for saying track use only. They went as far as to put a sticker on the flap itself that reminds you of this which has to be removed to open up one of the screw holes.
I'm sure that it affects fuel consumption - but I doubt that that...
The thing I like is that it gives you a flat base which you can put things on. The Ford one makes the space hard to use. I put 4 old latex pillows underneath as additional soundproofing which worked out great. Since I was installing the Watson roll bar I needed it anyway and never saw the...
I hit 137 on the straight at Gingerman in 4th which was about 7,800 (I was watching my braking point not the tach so that is very about - going off the shift lights).
I just have no interest in hunting around for E85. 93 is available pretty much everywhere around here. I'm not looking to wring out every last HP - if I was I would have bought the GT500. This car is plenty quick enough for me as it stands - I'm following the route I took with my last car...
