Spring install really isn't bad, just follow the steps. There are tones of YouTube vidoes of regular guys giving it a go. I'd say start there, way better than anything you'll find on the forums IMO.
Sounds familiar, I tend to fall in love with finishes that come with the forged series for most brands as well. I will be running two sets, a track and show setup. I fully intend to merge the two eventually with BC Forged wheels. Unsure of specific series yet.
I considered it, I plan to dabble in autocross and the occasional track event just as I did with my S197 car. So the ARP studs would be needed anyways to run the 19x11 squared setup and 25mm spacer. These are definitely a great budget option though for the right applications.
I didn't really...
That photo is deceptive. It’s from the rear and the spring perch actually contours down with the wheel. I’ll take a front shot. @Jonas-RR-GT is running a 305/30/20 on a 10.5 Velgen up front with an 8mm spacer. He didn’t have any clearance issues with his Classic 5s or VMB6s.
This is the spacer...
Got a 5mm hub centric spacer set in today. Threw it on. Took a video and photo but doesn’t show much detail. I was able to slide a credit card between the rim/tire strut easily and the wheels pins free of any issue. This is all suspension unloaded but based on my understanding of a macphearson...
Snow and sub 20 degree temps here, I won't likely get to test it for 2-3 months.
Was just about to PM you, let me know if that 5mm spacer works for you. If it does I'll wait on installing these FRPP Hubs and ill just go that route.
It's overkill, but I went with the FRPP Hubs w/ ARP Studs. Hopefully the FRPP lugs that come with fit the wheels. Otherwise I might need to spend some coin on open lugs.
My background is a mix of health science, bio-tech, and epidemiology. I had researched mRNA in the past but refreshed my own memory before I was subject (by requirement of working in a healthcare facility) to getting the shot. I'm very hopeful that this will be, as you said, a game-changer. Many...
@Max Rips Did you get extended studs? I'm sketched out with how little thread is available with these 8mm spacers. I bought spline lugs but man, never had that little to work with.
Here’s the clearance on the ground from the spring perch with 295/30/20
