Usually I just kind of watch these threads. I’ve owned a 2015&2017 GT and two different GT350’s. My cars at least, drove nothing alike. The 350 was superior in every way except one, reliability. I even drove one at Charlotte motor speedway which was awesome by the way. Reason I was so interested...
I asked that when I was there. Reason being that the clutch felt totally different to my clutch. I thought perhaps they had taken the spring out. The instructors said they were stock except. AC and radio do not work and roll bar and four point harness is installed.
Do have one question if anyone knows. The clutch in the car seemed completely different than my car. Does anyone know if they remove the spring? If so I’m taking mine out ASAP.
Okay, so five and seven would be a old ball length. I’ll look tomorrow and see what I can find with a fixed washer head in a M6-1.0 x 6... okay after looking I can get you a 6x8 of the link below. I’ll also look tomorrow and see what I have in stock...
I work for a large fastener importer. Do you have a picture of the screw and the diameter, thread count or pitch(depending on metric or inch) and the length. If so let me know and if we carry them I’ll hook you up if you pay shipping.
Other way around, sorry if I wrote it wrong. I’ve had two 350’s. First one I bought new and I had zero burning and zero soot. Second 350 I bought used. It burnt oil and had black soot. It’s at the dealer now getting engine replaced.
Right, what he said. Only thing I would add is my first 350 did not have any black soot at all. This one has a stupid amount. If I was you I would continue to monitor and drive the hell out of it. The minute you get to like 1 quart every 600 miles or so I would check it every fill up. When you...
Not saying your wrong on how to do the test correctly, because it makes total sense to me. However my dealer did not do it this way. He topped me off and started the test, asked me to come back in 1000 miles. Told me to check my oil myself which I did. When I noticed it was considerably low...
They haven’t done either yet. I’m assuming maybe they will do something when replacing the engine, although I’m not sure. All they did was oil consumption test. Basically top it off to twelve quarts and come back in a thousand miles to have it checked. I came back early as it was burning that...
It’s okay, I don’t mind waiting the extra time. It’s their loaner and to be honest I’m usually out of town during the week anyways. These guys have done two other replacement motors already.
Dealership called today. Ford authorized a new motor. Said it maybe a week or two to come and and a week to install. Good job too, because I burnt through another quart in 200 miles this weekend.
Just took it in and got it topped off. Apparently last time I was in they already started a case with ford performance. They put in 1.75 quarts after 800 miles since last top off. Waiting to hear from Ford Performance to see what they are going to do.
I've got a dealer that's done several motor swaps. Got a few quarts of oil, so when I get back into town on Friday I'm going to fill her up and see what she drinks. If its anything over a quart and a quarter I'll take in for a oil consumption test.
