Can't comment on Tickford units as I have a Herrod supplied Whipple gen 5 on my Mach 1, whine is difficult to get and have ADR compliance is strict, mine has a closed airbox and the new Whipple design so no whine detectable, more concerned about the performance as mine puts out 615Kw at crank...
I don't know what suppliers do with exports, best you contact Herrod or MM directly, being fully forged they are expensive compared with the cast wheels available aftermarket.
Yes the wheels are a replica as the 19" originals have too much poke and are not deemed roadworthy in Australia. They are factory match colour as Herrod are a Ford Performance dealer and have access to the paint codes and have made a fully forged 20" replica

IN AUS, any customer who buys a Ford Performance car (Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Ranger Raptor, Mustang) gets a card, pack with model Ford GT & a Ford Performance jacket plus a track day. Mach 1 in AUS also get fixed price services for $299 for first 4 years. Don't Ford NZ offer that?
Export cars have a different VIN configuration, sequence/serial number begins 558 rather than 555 and model code of P8E for non HP car, my chassis number is M0101.
Main reason will be stupid local Australian Design Rules (why don't we settle on one of the two major rules US or Europe and be done with the unnecessary cost). ADR's made sense when we had a local manufacturing capacity but since it is all gone now we should standardise and remove duplication...
Similar story for me, although I have taken delivery so was option of return vehicle for refund on the table. Waiting now on the details in writing before responding to the proposal.
I don't see retrofit of parts as an outcome. Vehicle is built by Ford in USA, Ford Australia acts as importer only and doesn't have the parts and facilities to do any retrofit would be my interpretation of the situation. What we have is what we have so to speak. Any outcomes as a result of...
I did see on one of the aussie mach1 fb forums a black Mach1 that was available for sale, unsure of the spec... Few cars appear to be becoming available due to cancelled orders so you could be lucky in your dealer able to get a vehicle re-assigned to you that is already built or on it's way to...
I suspect the Ford rep's are only authorised to outline the offering, working from a set of guidelines regarding conversations with owners/potential owners. For other discussions than that they are not enabled and take details so that a case manager can be assigned and discussion continue...
It is a bit hard to compare the GT and the Mach1 as I have a convertible auto compared with a Tremec manual and Magneride Mach 1. The GT is a great car, five years old now and is a magnet for people wanting to talk and look at it, I've had people wolf whistle at the car, try to talk to me on...
My car #M00101 does not have BLIS installed. Does have Autonomous Emergency Branking, Lane Departure Warning (but no speed sign recognition, guess that can be turned on via Forscan), no rear sensors but does have rear camera with the usual white lines indicating trajectory and...
