I always use Super Unleaded. Even the Sainsburys stuff @ 97 RON as it’s near us and cheap..!
It will run on normal u/l but I’m not sure it’s the best thing to do.
I have a CTEK and have fed the battery connector through the battery cover for easy access/connection. The lead (when connected) then feeds out of the bonnet near the passenger side wiper.
Seems to work well...
I bought a full set of “aftermarket” carpet mats from eBay. From memory they weren’t very expensive - so I was happy to buy the set just to get the 2 rear mats. They fit ok.
Sorry to read about your dilemma Chris! It would be interesting to know what a main dealer would offer. I’m guessing that the retail price is around £30K and that they would want a 10% starting margin - I therefore reckon they would offer you around £27K?
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Suggest that you have a drive in both before you decide. Not sure that in “real world driving” that there will be much of a difference in the MPG. Plus at 6,000 miles per year (unless they will all be in traffic?) the total cost difference will be negligible...
Enjoy, whichever one you choose!
Great to read the report on your car Stan, and I agree with all you say.
I’ve had mine just over a year and have enjoyed every one of the 5,000 miles so far. it’s not a daily driver so mostly gets used for longer, fun trips.
Pleasingly, I’ve never had a negative comment about the car. All...
Thought it was quite a good article - and good to see a great magazine like EVO keeping the Mustang story going with a long term test car.
As an aside, I am quite happy with my Auto - even if it is only a 6 speed..!
I agree with the earlier posts - the P Zeros on my car are fine if it's warm enough. Even today, in horrible heavy rain on the Motorways, they performed fine. It is quite warm today and I also take it a bit easier in the wet. No different to driving my previous car (997 C2S) which was also on P...
Hope all goes well Robbie - sounds like a catastrophic failure.
I've only done 2,800 miles in my 2017 (May) built car... I suppose anything could happen at any time, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Has anyone else experienced an issue with ipod connectivity? Since the last Sync 3 update at Christmas my ipod touch plays ok for a while - with full on screen menu functions - but after a while I can’t change Artist etc... The menus seem to jump about and I can’t select any function. This is...
Sorry to be a boring old f*rt, but if they aren’t a straight swap option I would be worried about crash protection etc... especially on such a new car. You may also want to speak to your insurers.
As I said, boring, BUT I would be concerned about the “adaption”.
