I just talked to FP today and they told me my car was delivered to the dealer yesterday...yet when I talked to the dealer earlier today he made no mention of it!!
Think it would be best to know the chassis number right? That would give us the best idea of how many have been built...I think they are around the mid 2000's right now
anyone know if a registry is still being kept?
Thought that at first too, but look again, that specific picture has the exhaust upside down. If you look at the full system picture its on the inside pipe.
Wow hard to believe that a dealer with 4-5 orders still has not had any built?
My small dealership order, their only 1, was just completed on 2/23 with an ETA of 3/9.
Is your order a low priority number?
From experience I can tell you matte wrap does not protect from chips, it will rip and peel off. Like shift said, it's mainly for environmental and appearance. Dark matte wrap does clean off well but if not dried properly will show water spots.
That seems high...there is another thread about trailering where voodoo took some measurements, with pictures, that show the bottom of the car without splitter to be at 3.75"

So based on this, it would be advisable to get some coverage on the front clip, doors, fenders....
Guess this will be one of the first things I have done when I get the car.
Just tried my VIN on Etis...it shows a summary of the car but no window sticker....am I missing something? Should I expect it tomorrow when they do updates (thursdays)?
Hang in there Voodoo. I was in the same boat as you, just got VIN and scheduled build date today!
Have you asked your dealer to push the regional rep on releasing your order? What priority # is on your order?
Found a great google doc for myself and anyone else who wants to see dimensionally how the race ramps can work out for you. Enter in the specifics to the car and your trailer, and it will tell you which race ramps work best and where your clearance issues will be on approach...
Thanks Voodoo!
So if my math is right and guessing by those pictures
3.75" with no splitter height, and roughly 30" from wheel to front edge of "fangs"
gives around 7.2 degree approach max
So if i use a small board infront of the race ramps to take up that difference at first approach i...
I like the idea of the scissor jack! So I should be ok with the TR-8's then?
Anyone know the lowest point(height) of the car with the non R splitter on? 4"? 5"?
Voodoo I see you have the XL ramps, I found a local racer friend who has the TR-8's that i could borrow. Race ramp website angle says they have 8.7 degree angle. Could these work?
So after reading into this more I'm shying away from uhaul and going to look for another trailer. At first I couldn't justify getting the race ramps for the price but then thought that I'm probably going to be able to use them when I need to change the oil in the car. So they could have a...
Thanks guys. I think I may go the tilt trailer route and try to find the best way to improve the approach angle.
Now I just need the car to be built!
I'll document what I do as I'm assuming somewhere down the road it might help someone out.
