I'm interested in this to get rid of my raspy setup - My question @Dave@CJPP I have the Kooks: 1151H410 Cat less long tube headers that connect to Ford Performance: M-5200-M8SBV Cat-Back Exhaust System Quad Tip Sport 2-1/2" With GT350 Rear Valance. Would ordering this Magnaflow X-Pipe Tru-X...
Lund will get you taken care of and quickly! As you read above I was having the surging issues as well as some others on here but VMP got them fixed recently. Lund fixed mine.
Good time today at Speedtek Performance in Haltom City, TX. Car went from VMP tune, part way to PBD and then switched to Lund. Lund is by far the best I've dealt with to date! VMP tune was 564WHP/530TQ, Lund's tune 633WHP/528TQ. I wish I knew the shop was only pulling to 7000rpm or I would...
If Alex had responded about it and asked me to data log it I would have. It would also surge when going WOT, like it would pull back and then hit. But that wasn't every time. Yes I'm on a 82mm pulley. Hopefully Lund will figure it out, 3rd times the charm, right lol?
Also, I was using the...
I'm glad Joe got it all worked out for you. Have you put it on the dyno yet? Which kit do you have installed? I had sent Alex 3 or 4 emails ability the surging and he never addressed it but only answered my other questions and blamed my poor dyno numbers on bad gas and the usual that not all...
Yes, I'm currently at 564WHP/530TQ. I have given up on PBD and switching over to LUND. PDB does not respond well and takes a long time to get revisions. I know a lot of people on this board are fans of his but the remote tune delays are not what I signed up for when I originally spoke with...
That's incorrect. The tips are not mounted to the valence. They are completely independent in fact. There are the muffler tips that float inside the valence tip housings. The tip housings are the larger chrome pieces on the valence. You put the valence on before you install the exhaust and...
What is VP at the track and is that what got you to 669/506? I don't see how you are getting that much HP with a basic setup . I have a VMP GEN I I Stage 3 and only make 564/530 to the wheels
It's not a hard install. I did it by myself in the garage with 2 floor jacks. There is a YouTube video to watch on the install and read the directions.
Alex recommended the 79mm
"Typically a stage 3 kit does better with a 79mm pulley and kicks you up another psi. So high 5's low 6's are possible."
I will be ordering the 79mm and I will most likely move towards E85 very soon.
BTW I went by Frank's shop, nice guy!
No, I'm on pump gas 93. They advertise "Performance 600+ RWHP 5.0L and 800+ RWHP Boss 302" under the Gen 2R stage 2 and 3 kits. One would assume that if the Stage 2 kit was supposed to be 600+ RWHP, then the Stage 3 Kit would be more than 600 WHP, since you are adding ID1000 fuel injectors...
Seems to be, so far drivability seems smoother. I am still data logging with him so the tune is not complete. You can reach him through his website
